Actually, from my emails to Jacobs, we can just swap on the newer 4" turbo mounted ebrake as long as we have the larger exhaust housing like the 2004. 5 and newer have.
I started looking into this when I looked at the EB on my 2005, which is a Jacobs, and is 4".
So, it seems that we just need to get the brake itself from a 2004. 5/newer setup and put it on a larger turbo.
This lets us keep a turbo mounted brake, and have the 4" exhaust.
It doesn't help with the twin turbo issues though.
Btw, the only reason I haven't done this swap yet is the $ involved with buying a new turbo AND the brake itself (you don't need to buy all the extra stuff, just the eblow/brake).
Direct from Jacobs, ""The 2004. 5- 2006 exhaust brake assembly, alone, is available Through either Dodge, p/n 05139837AA, or Cummins, p/n 4089598. "".
I haven't even bothered to call for prices yet, as I can't afford the new turbo yet (thanks to the cost of my new HRVP44

).
