My injector tips should be here on Weds, just wondering what people think about them? Likes/dislikes, if they did it themselvs?

i have them, did it myself, 2-3 hours. first time can be little frustrating/intimidating but rem to keep clean. valve cover is a little tricky. follow directions can find more online dont rem where. dont over tighten holders/lines (most common mistake) also should be pop tested. could have done 125-150's:rolleyes: oh well. but yes i do like them nice add would do again:)

1st and 2nd gen trucks use mechanical pop-off pressure to actually open the injectors to inject fuel. The 3rd gen trucks are electrically fired.

while i have the 5s I can say for the money they gave me plenty of power and lots of smoke. (hard to control at low rpm) Had a tip crack in the first 2000 miles#@$%! but edge promptly took care of it and havent had another prob since. I will be pulling them for a set of dragon flows from industrial injection down the line.

I like the power but a little more smoke than I care for, especially when towing. My egts are also at their max and I either need to upgrade the turbo or downsize the tips. I did the tips, only took me about 45minutes, but I am a mechanic for a living. Have a can of carb cleaner handy an keep everything clean.

MHagen- was wondering what level you run on your smarty... Is the smoke still unavoidable on the lower levels? Also is the smoke always an issue or just when towing? I'm debating between jammer 3's or holding out for some cleaner sticks. Any insight from individuals running smarty+jammer 3 would be great. Thanks STC

When towing if I really light foot it I can keep it from smoking on level 5. It tows best on 5. Jammer3s are a little hot on egts with a stock turbo. You may have to drive by pyro. When empty I run on 1. Its still fast as hell and the smoke is totally controlable. Im really suprised how powerful setting 1 is on the smarty is.

I should probabally mention the jammer 3s run a little hot when towing heavy. You may want to look at a step down or plan for a turbo upgrade in the near future.

I run the 4's on my truck with the edge attitude on 5X5. Smokes real good and the power is great. I know I am on the limit of my turbo and will be upgrading soon.

I can cover a 4 lane at will if I do it just right... .

That would be great! I put in a set of injectors a couple weeks ago in my '02Not very impressed with them so I was considering doing a set of Jammer 3 nozzles on my old injectors while they are out. I don't know how hard it will be to do the nozzles, that is my question. Any good info on that out there? I would imagine I will have to get involved with a fuel shop at some point. Estimated costs?
