Whats a good price to pay for the JL Audio Stealthbox that replaces the bottom center front seat? I'm thinking about buying one, I considered one that goes under the rear seat, but hate to lose the little storage space I have.

Anyone have any other comments (good/bad) on this unit?

Also, I noticed there are 2 different ones, one for '94-'97, and one for '98+, does anyone know what the difference is, incase I find a used one?

Thanks,

Pete

Pete,

Last I checked on them stealthboxes they were running a little over $600... as an FYI.

If you find a good price on one... let me know. I wouldn't mind one at all. .

Have one - Love It!!!

I have one and Love it. Ted Constantine, and a few others have it and love them as well. I cant tell you who has the lowest price ? But (I believe ) They are around 4 bills. I also do not know the difference between the 94-97 & the 98 to present. :(

This unit is a great addition to any truck. Make sure you get a rather large Amp though;)

I just priced a Stealth box at my local stereo shop. $ 499. 00 retail he would sell it to me ( because I'm such a nice guy ) for $450. 00. The one that goes under the rear seat was $ 699. 00

Those are Jersey prices. Time to go shoppin' for a deal.

Thats the one I've was looking at. ;) Been checking for a few days now.

As for an amp, I was looking at a Fosgate Punch 250a2, its rated at 250W RMS when bridged at 4 ohms. The sub in the box is a 250W, 4 ohm (two 2 ohm voice coils). I've got a 200a1 in my Blazer running four 4 ohm 8" RFZs in parallel that I've been real happy with.

I finally got a grown-up job and wanted to buy myself a couple toys before I start saving for a house full time.

Pete,

As mactuck said I have one in my truck and it is great. I am powering it by a rockford 250a2 and it seems to be perfect. As for punch vs power my amp is from just before they changed the line. Make sure you are running ahead unit with puts out enough power. If the signal to the sub is not strong you will have muddy sound. It is a sweet little unit and the install is very easy.

BTW, Macturck and I both have our CBs mounted to the front of the box just screwed in to the fiberglass.
