For the Plumbers out there...a question

Rats nest in AC fan blower

We have a 1983 John Deere 750. This is a mid-size 4x4 tractor with a 3 cylinder Yanmar diesel. It came from the factory with turf tires, and now after 21 years of service, the tires are toast. I would like to put real Agricultural tires on this thing but I'm having problems finding aggressive tires that will fit on these fat turf rims. Does anybody know how I can figure out the proper ratios to maintain with the front and rear tire height so that any replacement tires I get will not bind up the 4x4 system? What are some good tire places to get these tires from? The two tire shops that I've had look so far are having a hard time finding tires to fit these rims and maintain proper ratios.

I'll swing by the tractor tonight and get the tire size info off the thing.

Thanks for any help!

If you want to switch from turf to ag (R-1's) it will take different rims as well as tires, They really nail us in the back with this. All JD compacts are the same. A 2 wd tractor is no big deal but FWD as you know have to be matched up. Titan is a company that supplys most wheels and tires the most of the tractors. They do have a web site if you shearch, I dont have it handy.

It is very hard to find used rims but it does happen at times if you look in the right places and timming is right.

Successful Farming's Website--it has a pretty good classified section. You might find something there, or ask the their forums.

Also, there are a lot of Tractor Junkyards across the Midwest and West. I've found a lot of good I. H. parts in those places. I'm sure there are JD junkyards.
