My thanks to ALL of you for your kind words!
Doug, thanks for posting the information! Doug is right, I made the run this past Sunday at our local dragstrip, "Coastal Plains Dragway" in Jacksonville, N. C. As my son Johnner (banshee) said, they have been VERY good to us "dieselheads" there over the years and their insurance carrier makes the "cut-off" at 11. 99, instead of the 11. 49 NHRA rule. At present, the track does not have guardrail all the way down and their "shutdown area" is a little short, so that probably contributes to their rule. I didn't mind being "barred" for an 11. 76 run though!
Here are the numbers from my time slip for you guys to look at:
Reaction Time: . 620 (A perfect light there is . 500).
60 ft. Time : 1. 75
330 ft. Time : 4. 91
1/8 E. T. : 7. 54
1/8 MPH : 93. 17
1/4 E. T. : 11. 76
1/4 MPH : 115. 96
My previous best E. T. before this run was back on 10-14-06 when I ran a 12. 1 @ 110 MPH. My best MPH run was on that same day with a run of 12. 3 @ 113 MPH. What was the difference on this past Sunday?? Well, my ring and pinion are flat WORE OUT (with over 250,000 original miles on them) and on the runs on 10-14-06, I launched "easy" with only about 10-13 lbs. of boost. This past Sunday, I took that "launch boost" to a little over 20 lbs. !
That harder launch cut my 60 ft. times from 1. 90 to 1. 75. I also lowered my tire pressure from about 35lbs. to 28-30. The weather was also PERFECT! At the time of my run, the temperature was 59-60 degrees, the humidity a VERY low 20%, barometric pressure 30. 18 and our elevation is below 100 feet! Basically, very nice cool, dry air, perfect conditions for drag racing! And I did all of this on just #2 diesel with the Scheid Water Injection System to keep everything cool!
I could not have ever done this without the expertise and guidance of my good friends at Scheid Diesel. I want to thank Dan Scheid, Mike Wood, Brad Ingram, Brain Koester and almost the entire Effingham Staff for all they did for me. Also Clint and Ranee Cannon, Mike Meineke and Sean Porter at ATS for all they did for me on the transmission and more so on setting up the new "Five Star Converter" to work with my 12 valve engine! Also, I want to thank my fine son Johnner, for all his help and guidance the past few weeks in getting everything "tuned up"! You are the best buddy!

Everything is working great together and many of you here know how long I have been working towards this goal.
Thanks again to all of you for the words of encouragement and support!
