Casey, when I got the MNTDR signed up to be "official" they asked about our next meet so I E-mailed Robin and they said they would do a mailing. I was hoping things would get out a bit faster... but beggers can't be choosy! I would immagine since you are a bit farther out... you may be getting yours today or tomorrow?

Josh , I got A video tape for you. . 6 hrs. long , and it has all the sled pulling action of T. I. M. "04" , the Dyno Day at Mike's Coustom trucks on 1-17-04 , the Buffalo wild wings gathering , the Dyno day in Ramsey on 10-18-03 . . It ends with some of the tractor and truck pulls from 8-22-03 Schied's Diesel Extravaganza. . It's A great tape I hope you like it. . Anybody want to trade A tape for A tape of the drag races at T. I. M. ?? I missed being able to be there to tape that this year. .
 
I have some of the Drags at Muncie. I still haven't gotten all my stuff dubbed to a regular tape yet. Bring your video... We can pop that puppy in and go most of the day!

Official start time 10am. Last I had talked to Aron..... IF, big IF there was enough interest he may do runs on Sunday. As of right now we are doing first come first serve. It's easiest that way.

We might even be able to start earlier, but that's all on Tim's shoulders. I'd be willing, but it's at his place, and I know he wants to have it ready to go. So it's his call.

my truck is up in the air and the transmission on the ground, tim will rip into it in the morning. When I left for bed tim and Jr. were still puting Jr. transmission back together.



So 2 transmission's one night 3 guys and one mabey back in(wont know till after work seeing as how i left early) isnt to bad for 4 1/2 hrs of work.



Well im off to bed as tomarow and friday will be long nights.

The first TDR meets people were contacted by mail. Glen Foley set it all up. I was the only one from Minnesota posting it on TDR. TDR website was just gittin up and running. We all met down in Rochester mn. The Dodge dealer there was kind enough to let us meet in there lot. We watched movies. Discussed and bragged about are trucks. I think we must have had around 20 people show up. I think Norm and Paul are the only ones I've seen that have been to the rochester meet. Would be nice to see those other guys again.

Norm if ya see this. I think Harold my have gotten his CDL back?? Word to the wise. Don't go over 100 mph in a semi truck. :--)
 
I won't be able to make this meet either as things are really busy here. I really wanted to be there, especially to see the dyno runs and to meet everyone. I should be able to make the next meeting though as the wedding will be over and things should calm down a bit after that. Hope everyone has a great time.

One transmission going back together... . almost done, the other will be started after they eat. Another yet will be removed for a clutch..... Why does it always come down to the last min?

They come down like this cause I have such great pals that talk me into crazy insane things. I would love to be there, been trying to figure out any way to get out of going tomorrow to the college, but no dice. Room is booked bars are made spicy jam ready to go. Should be there by 6pm to get things back together in my truck or start. By the way how is the fuel situation?



One other thing, Tim, Andy or Josh, I will actually have my phone with so make me feel important afer lunch. Now I can't promise ya that I will answer it but I will have it.

Fuel is running a bit rich. Sorry to hear about you not being able to make it. I donno about tomorrow still. Women... can't make their mind up for nothin!

If it's alright with you's guys, I will need some volunteers to help load and unload vehicles. Anyone? I am going to be eyes deep in advice, test running, and dyno stuff and a little help would be appreciated.



BTW boys, bring your hearing protection. We're gonna have some visitors that are running gassers (probably with open collectors).



I plan on running any two of the following tests; 1/4 mile run (for those who know how much they weigh), acceleration power window (power curve on the way up), pull-down test (power curve on the way down) if we can get the trucks to stick to the rollers, or inertial run (same type of run as the Dynojet). Start thinking of what kind of run you want to do. Please keep in mind that a pull down test is the most stressfull, but also the most accurate. If you want more information on the tests, you can call me, or wait until the morning of.



If a run fails (for a reason other than your truck blew up Josh), that's a freebie. The cost is for two good runs (or as good as we can possibly make them). I will also be able to evaluate parasitic losses to your driveline if that's one of the runs you want to make. But if you want that, be patient. I've never run one of those before.



If 8:00 is okay, I will hold an informational briefing about the dyno runs, what is going to happen, how it works, types of tests, and risks. The owner runs his (or her) own vehicle. I can also dispense advice on a limited basis. It will be kind of a 'catch me if you can' kind of thing.



Other than that, there will be a few formalities and then we will be off. Sound good to everyone?

PS... . Good thing that Diesel quad is there... . at least we know we will be able to get my broken truck off the dyno!
 
I can help out, but I can't make it by 8:00. I will be there between 9 and 10 though. I need to run out to my grandpa's place in East Bethel first thing in the morning, and then I can head back to Elk River.

Say if we're into trading favors, does anyone have a set of training wheels I can beat upon? I know my tires won't stick, but doolies? Maybe?
 
I will try to be there by 8am. I would be glad to help out where ever I can. I'm bringing my friend Matt down to get him addicted to diesel fuel. (He's currently running on gas). His last diesel was a 6. 2, and we have to show him what real diesel power looks like!!!

I'm bringing a brand new in-the-box Westin Sportsman brush guard for 94-02 Dodge trucks. Black power-coat one-piece welded grille/brush guard wrap around thing. For sale to whoever wants it. :) If interested, let me know at the meet.
