RMTDR July 25 welcome for out-of-town TDR members @ Cummins?

I scammed out of work and plan on showing midday'ish. Anybody know anything about making/installing a turn buckle? The boost elbow that came with my Comp doesn't work on my stock turbo, so I understand I need a turn buckle??? My egt's need the help. Would also like to dyno the rig after I figure that out so add 1 more.

Here is what you need for the turnbuckle set up. The spring makes it somewhat adjustable. You could go without the spring and just run it wide open.

If anyone has a Hi8 cam-corder... I have 2 tapes from Muncie... but haven't gotten them put to VHS... . if we wanna watch... . Gotta have a cam corder... . The owner needed it back for the weekend!

A great time was had by all! Aron struggled a little with the optical pick up to get proper torque readings, but all in all... a great time. One Ford ran, One Chevy ran, and the rest Dodges on Sat. Sunday, 2 Fords, one gas, one diesel, and one Dodge. The Gasser Ford broke a U-joint quite violently one his second try on a 1/4 mile run..... First gear, dump the clutch..... BANG! Sorry Crimedog... I wish I would have known you didn't get your timing set... . I would have been more than happy to help ya out with that! Aron had his Twin Turbo truck there as well as Jim Layden. Jim Dynoed out at 427hp... I don't know the torque. Tim of Torque Diesel ran a 410, but was torquing the truck SO much he'd loose the optical pick up so no torque on that one.

Because I dropped the ball a little this time, I didn't get everyone's numbers so I can't post them right now. Aron said he would try and get them to me... when he does... I'll let you know!

In the works... Possibly a Dyno CHAIRITY event at Goerends in August(Aron)... . A wrench day in Sept... . possibly another Dyno day just before it gets cold. I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks for the support guys!

Josh

I would like to thank everyone that either helped me out with my FASS and clutch, or for just putting up with me and my lack of sleep at 41 hours of being awake. All in all I had fun, my family told me they had a blast, watching the trucks was there favorite. Now the wife wants a new truck and some added power and would like to play on the dyno.

I actually let her drive it Sunday on the way home, ya she wanted to be on 5X5 and make smoke. My poor kids following in there car and Jeep could not see the road.

I do need to know when we might be planning on heading to Iowa with Dave, if it is the last weekend of August I can't make it, Rum River grass drags is that weekend and I stuff to sell and money to make. I can't wait to get together again, I missed alot of good looking trucks out there in the parking lot.

Josh,

We had a great time on Saturday. It was fun getting on the Dyno, and thanks to Aron for bringing it out and putting it on. Now to work on that pesky air supply problem... ... .

Well friends I just thought I should share with you , my friend that came to the event with me has joined the TDR as of yesterday... He says he had A great time and he can't wait until the next event. . Now he understands why I tried to get him into this before. . :D
