I got my VIN a couple days ago from Adam. How are you guys tracking these trucks? Is there a link etc?

Your best source of information will come from Adam but you can also call Dodge customer service at 1-800-992-1997 and be ready to start pushing buttons, I don't remember the sequence. Have your VIN ready and they will create a REF # so the next time you call it's quicker for them to find your info. They seemed a little unorganized the times I called, several times putting me on hold to try and find info. and then asking me for the same numbers multiple times. I got the idea they don't usually deal with these kind of enquiries.

Once the truck is built and on a rail car Adam can give you the number of the car and you can begin tracking it here http://c01.my.uprr.com/pet/motorVehicleTrace.jsp As long as it stays on Union Pacific RR that is.

Good luck :)

Train Stops

Can you believe that my rail car arrived Cheyenne WY 07:50 Saturday morning and The train just left Cheyenne @ 18:12 local Tuesday evening on Union Pacific... That's not the way we conducted business when I rode the rails!

Pete

...

My truck has also stopped in Cheyenne on a Saturday morning... now lets see if it also spends four days there. The ETA into Spokane is still showing the morning of 4/25.

I feel your pain !

Mine hit D1 and originally had a 04/11/07 ship date; then it changed back to D then hit D1 once more with an expected ship date of 04/16/07.

My dealer is calling Monday as well. There's no sales codes on restriction, either.

My truck's VIN is 3D7MX39A07G805471... ... and TKeeler's sequence number was 48 after mine. This is driving me nuts ! :-laf

Greg

That rollercoaster ride is a lot worse than mine. Here is my VIN# 3D3KS29A47G811887 ordered on 3/30, received VIN on 4/6 with a "D" status. Nothing has changed since then.

TKeeler:

What route are you going to take heading back home? Going through Seattle or down through tri-cities?

Definitely not the Seattle route, that would be way too much I-5 travel or me. Once we get to the Columbia Gorge not sure if we are taking the gorge route towards Portland or cut across through Eastern Oregon. I may not even decide until we get there. I am often accused of too much planning ahead and not enough adventurism.

Delivery Day 5/5

We have worked out 5/5 as the date to pick up our truck from Adam. It's crossing the NE corner of Oregon headed for Spokane as I type this.

Looks like I will be one of the rare ones out there with a 3500 and no cab lights... :p

You can install Remote Start

I was dissapointed in not getting the remote start as well. Dealer said if it comes out for the 6. 7 they will order it for me. I guess its only available for the gas engines. after caliing, the rep at DC says he doesn't if or when it will be available.

FYI

We have installed a remote start system with the new 6. 7L. You cannot get it from the factory yet and there was quite a bit of confusion in the beginning of orders. When ordering, remote start shows up on the order screen as included in the package, but now they have made it so a pop-up window shows up, and if you read it before instinctively clicking to close it, it lets you know that the remote start is only available on the HEMI.

My install price for remote start is $413. 10 for TDR members only. Your local dealer can do it, but the price will be different.

:) Is it true that you have been hired to be the West Coast Sales Trainer by Dodge????
That would truely be a plus, plus for Dodge.

I've been following this thread from the beginning. You guys got some nice trucks. Adam needs to be the sales trainer for ALL of the US. Keep up the good work Adam. Jeff

Truck Orders.....trying patience

Brad & Greg... . any new news on your trucks

distortion mirrors

Mel, are you getting any vibration or distortion in the mirror heads with them fully extended? That was my concern when I first looked at them. Of course the road surface will have a lot to do with it also. I been using the slip on CIPA's extensions on the stock mirrors on my 98. 5 but the mirror head is so small they are marginal.

Sorry I missed your post last week. I have no complaint about these $500. 00 mirrors. Except the high dollar price#@$%! . The DC has if figured out what we feel we need and charge accordingly. :{

TDR Informed

Pete,

The TDR members' shared knowledge and Adam (Macomber)'s friendly helpfulness have been big factors in sorting out the options, and feeling confident with our decision.

Thanks for keeping us updated on your progress!

Best wishes :)

That is one of the benifits of the TDR membership/website. Glad to be of service. I asked the question on this board in Dec 06, "who earned your business". Members gave the names of dealers who earned their business and they would return to. Of all I contacted only two came across as candidates. Dishman Dodge should be very grateful for their employee, Adam Macomber. Adam was quick to respond, professional, returned email, returned telephone calls and convinced me he wanted my business. When I met Adam Macomber, I knew that I had hired the right man at the right dealership. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

No change yet

Brad & Greg... . any new news on your trucks

I spoke with Adam today. My truck as well as three others have been going from C to D and then back again. Today all four were back in D status. The regional contact is looking into the problem, but my sense is that it is hard to get accurate information from a plant.

Tomorrow will be the 30 day window and with this being a new month, it may have been a problem of allocation or a part not available last month.

In summary, nothing new for me either.

Patiently waiting... NOT, but it will be worth it. My first truck and one I've been waiting a long time to own.

Thanks Mel, I figured for $88 I would try the 'Power Trailer Tow Fold-Aways' and if they don't work well I will look at my other options. I see a lot of trucks with them, actually more than with the standard mirrors so maybe that means something

We fly out Saturday morning to Spokane for our delivery. Hopefully this weather we got today gets better by then... we do need the rain though.

Ya... ..... we all experiance a little, which way should I go. If you go for the mirrors on a saturday the service department may not be able to do an install.
Good luck on your trip. Keep us posted.

Mine is the third truck. It is in D1 Status as of May 4th with an ESD of May 15th. My VIN# is 3D3MX48A97G831446. Even if it ships on time I still have a 30day delay for shipping to Alaska. So by mid June I should (I hope) have my new truck.
