Well, as an update - I will roll 89k miles next week. I still have not taken her in for her annual checkup at the dealer - which I need to do before the warranty runs out.
I do have to say that I have been very impressed with this truck. I have not had one single down day. The check engine light has only come on once, put me in limp mode and I think it was more the gods did not want the concrete plant running that day (I was running, and I mean running parts). I checked the codes (CPS), cleared it and have not had a problem since.
Here is the crap part. I am upside down on her still. These gassers do not hold value for crap. My truck in the signature got the snot beat out of her in the hail storm last week (tennis ball size) and the insurance has totaled her out. This presents a problem that I have to work out.
For what I use the '14 for, I can live with the inability to stay in sixth gear pulling a slight incline and losing 5mph before the shift occurs when in cruise. For a personal vehicle, this simply will not do. Especially when towing (miserable mileage with anything over 4k#).
I know in my heart that I should be in a pickup. Now the soul searching. Do I need anything larger than a half ton? I has to have an 8' bed - no question. I did find myself in a rental last fall and it was a Ram 1500, 8 speed transmission. Mileage was awesome, as well as the get up and go. I did not tow anything with it, or carry any large loads, so I don't know how that would impact things. My '14 does great right up until you put little challenges in front of her like that and she falls short. Diesels...not an issue.
Well on to the 2nd gen section to see what the market is for my upgrades. Probably going to return her to stock condition before I turn her over to the insurance.
