From what I know, using T/H on a Ford does change the shift pattern massively.
On the Expedition if that button is in and then going down a hill in CC means that thing starts to downshift like hell, engine screams and only if that isn't sufficient then it starts using the service brake.

I'm pretty sure that the PSD works the same way if T/H is in. If not that would be a bad step backwards for Ford.
Can’t understand how tow/haul in a 1/2 ton gasoline application has any relevance to a 3/4 ton diesel pickup application as far as shifting strategy goes.......

Well, from my point of view it would make sense, doesn't it.
The heavier the vehicle the more important is good engine braking.

So, if Ford makes an excellent shift pattern in a light duty and a very bad one in a heavy duty that would be really bad engineering.

So yes I do upscale that behavior from light to heavy because it makes sense.
