I was looking under the hood yesterday and noticed a wire unplugged from the injection pump acually looks more like a sender of some sort truck runs OK though?just curious what that is

can you post a pic of the wire? If I can see what it looks like I will compare it to my 92', they should be about the same.

It's probably the wire that hooks to the element that is supposed to give the truck higher idle when it is really cold. Mine comes of time to time. The one you need to worry about is the two wires that hook to the rear of the pump. Those shut off the engine!

Probaly is the KSB wire. The KSB is not for high idlewhen it is cold it is for timing advance when it is cold. The higher idle is a biproduct of advanced timing.

Mine too!

That wire simply hangs there..... 'cause I unhooked it :D I don't want to risk blowing out the O ring, besides, it's already advanced. Heck, it's advanced so much so I have to grab a-hold of the door and jump in when it drives by.

I have hooked it up right after a cold start and do not notice any difference in the way it sounds. . It makes no difference in the way the engine starts either. Probably don't work. It's unhooked just the same.
