Sorry John, what I meant was Chrysler Corporation sold them through their Mopar catalog. Any dealer can sell any product, whether it is warranted by Chrysler or not. Some dealers even sell COMP boxes and we all know (or should) that it does void your warranty, at least on powertrain items that could be affected. You are your own warranty station.
I was just trying to point out that it MUST have been warranted if sold "officially" through Mopar - K&N's were in the 1995 catalog, but I couldn't find them any later than that (and they are not currently on the Mopar website). I would think that anyone who had a K&N on a truck from a year that the Mopar catalog featured them would have a good case if an engine failure was attributed to the air filter.
