I have a post in the Product and Accessories forum detailing my experience with K&N; or rather the experience after I sold the 92 D350 to my mom. DEtails there, I wont repeat it here. I looked up AFE, and got mixed results, though with more good than the K&N. I have about decided to go with a Fleetguard filter, and maybe a K&N or AFE prefilter. The dust gets pretty fine here. THe stock paper filter will flow enough air for Mom's stock engine, but what about mine, making 230 or so RWHP (based on 1 psi= 10 hp; 28 psi=280hp at engine) and I'm going to get more. I have had no problems wiht my K&N SO FAR, but the ones in her truck didnt come about till recently. I want a filter that will flow enough for say 300 rwhp, and still filter well. I dont want to start a brand war- green vs red vs foam, vs etc. I would like real flow numbers and micron filtration for various filters, or at least where i can start looking on my own for them.
Thanks for your help. Maybe this will be a help to someone else who is on the fence.

PS- dust here (Swampeast MO) is everywhere, and is real fine. Plus there is a lot of smoke in the air from wheat fields in summer, and wood stoves in winter, so filtration will probably surpass flow rate on the importance scale.
