Yeah I know the Goodes, I'm not sure if thats a good thing or not... LOL. . I'm the one that lived down the road from them on state line. Which truck did you buy, the old blue ext. cab?

Nope, although had I known he had an extended cab I would have tried to talk him out of it. This is a regular cab, but it is a blue/ gray 2 tone. It was missing most of the paint on the hood and roof, and had one of those horrible visors along the roof (sorry never really been my style). Got it repainted, put new rims and tires, a rhino liner, BHAF, and a leveling kit on it. Now I use it to haul a couple Jeeps out to the mountains for a week of four wheeling and debauchery once a year. Runs like a striped ass ape for a 12 year old truck. Now that I painted it, I'll never get rid of it, but I would like to add a 2nd gen 12 valve 2500 4x4 to my collection as soon as I can talk the wife into it. She doesn't seem to think that would make a good daily driver for her!!! Anyhow until then I'm looking for an exhaust brake, and maybe a better turbo. I turned up the fuel screw, and now the stock turbo is way out of its efficiency range. Hopefully the exhaust brake will be in the works before the Jeep trip this year in August. Have any experience with those things? They worth a crap? (almost died going over Wolf Creek pass couple years ago when they had it all torn up, need to do something about the brakes)

10-4 My old man (Joe) grew up in Claflin, still have a family farm 10 miles north of Claflin just off the highway. I don't really know any of them in Hoisington, but I can tell you one thing with a high degree of certainty: if their last name is Redetzke, I'm related to them! You around those parts? I occasionally make it back around there for pheasant hunting. The old man knows who owns everything, so there is usually tons of ground to hunt. Plus the guy that farms our land (Marvin Lamatsche sp?) keeps an eye out for where all the birds and deer like to hang out.

AJ

I live south of Dorrance. I used to work the oil patch for Gulf, N. E. of Claflin. I've spent a lot of time at the "Odin Store", know Edgar real well. I have a lot of friends around Claflin, Odin and Beaver. Marvin has some ground about 1/2 mi. from where I'm setting .

Be careful of OSR, he will lead you astray!! He's Bad News!! And old Mtngoat is a close step behind him!;) :D

First time I ever got drunk it was at the Odin bar/grocery store!Guy by the name of Roger Krier took me and my cousin over there because he wanted to get us a beer and the keg over at the community center was dry. He bought a six pack at the bar (after offering us some whiskey out of his suburban) and promptly turned around and handed it to us inside the bar. I was in 7th or 8th grade at the time. AHHHH good times!!! Don't worry about those other guys leading me astray. I seem to be pretty good at that myself!! Small world huh?

AJ

Sounds like a plan. To tell you the truth, I think those two are some sort of distant cousin, or cousins of my dad. I don't know, like I said, we've got lots of relation in that area

Yep, Have wheeled all over. Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Oklahoma, Arkansas... etc. But Ive been doing that for a long time and am ready to do something different, so its for sale. My wife and I have gotten into motorcycles lately and having a GOOD time doing that.

Oh, and I almost forgot. Keep an eye out for OSR as well, he'll try to talk you into spending all your money with FloorIt!! He must get a commission! Just joking, in all seriousness, you want an top notch running Cummins, give John (FloorIt) a call.

What exactly does Floorit do? Is he a dealer, or does he just build the motors? One of these days I will have a 2nd 12v! I'll just have to buy the wife new furniture and a new car before that, since she let me paint the **#$box!!

John owns FloorIt Diesel Performance just east of Lawrence. He specializes in Diesel performance as well as being a DTT transmission installer. . By the way, if you have an automatic and you are turning up the power, do some transmission mods first. John is the man in these parts!

Robin

I'd like to do a transmission mod, as in getting rid of my Getrag and putting in an NV4500 or 5600. I just probably won't have the cash flow until it actually craps out.

OK FIRST THINGS FIRST I AM NOT A TROUBLE MAKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO JOHN DOES NOT GIVE ME A COMMISION... ..... BUT THATS OK.

AND YES STAY AWAY FROM THAT OLD FART 'YOGI' HE'S WHO IS TROUBLE.

Now to the question about ex. brakes, yes I have experience with them GET ONE, infact mine is for sale now. And I do reccomend a transmission upgrade atleast a little, and yes DO CALL Floor It.
