KDP party in New England anybody????

I would like to tab my KDP and was wondering if there was some more interested in getting together.

I have done mine, but would be willing to help out. I didn't use the jig, I took the cover off and tabbed the pin.

Well first off do either of you have a garage of access to one that we could use? I have access to a Bridgeport and would be willing to make the tabs. Lets make plans before are trucks blow up:{

I have access to two garages... one is really big (at least 10 trucks) the other is at my house and can hold one at a time. Both are heated and have compressed air and a full arsenal of tools.



I'm totally open to having it at either of my locations... .

KDP tab diagram

R. ebel has placed a post under a thread started by badams. This post gives a diagram with dimensions for making the tabs. If this tab party were to happen I would be interested as well. I would just need enough notice to get the seal/gaskets etc.

I saw the post with the diagram that is what I will use as a guide, if we are all in agreement. Lets make this happen we could tab these in a day and have some fun. Not to mention get some ideas and guidance in other hop ups. Lets start thinking of a date. :--)

Gummel/HoleshotHoleset and others, I will be on vacation 16-22 Feb. If we could get together after this my only other really bad timeframe is 2-3 March. I work most weekends but since I'm getting ready to retire with waaay too many sicks days on the books, well... ..... Some things must take priority. If someone wants to suggest some firm dates I would sure like to make the effort to be there.

I am possibly interested, just checking in here to see what happens for date etc. Currently invetigating new truck, so may not be concerned about KDP, but would like to stay in the loop for the moment as not sure if new truck will happen or not.

hello guy's we are having a bombfest at my shop in march on the 13th. their is a cummins dealer 15 minutes up the street in case you get into any trouble you are all welcome to do it here i have done a couple and they aren't bad at all. let mee know soon ok

KDP party

Guys, Question regarding this. Any special tools needed besides a wrench for the fan? I am thinking specifically about the crank damper/pully assm. I have a home made wrench for the fan which worked fine when I did my Horton. If everything else is straight forward then this should be a good time.

The fan wrench was all I needed. Regular tools for the rest. A good gasket scraper is useful.

Well, Scott has been nice enough to step up and let us do it there..... If everyone wants to do it there it's fine by me.



I just wrote to Batman and told him to pencil me in for the 16th... . but if there's enough interest I'm definitely going and want to get my KDP fixed up.

I can make 3/16/02. Just post or PM the location, address, time etc. I will bring my fan wrench and other assorted hand tools. If anyond has a manual it might be helpful.
