I just purchased a 1997 3500 from the original owner. He used it to tow his bass boat, and haul a camper a few times. The truck has been pampered with all the service done at the dealership. The owner had never heard of the killer dowel pin problem. The truck has 99,000 miles. My question is: do I need to have the KDP problem corrected or is it a case of if it hasn't happened yet, it's probably OK?
Any help would be appreciated.
