Fixed the KDP this last friday. Pin was out about 1/8th inch. Used the TST kit. Lot of work, but, no more worries. Truck has 123,000 miles. Oo.

DOA here too

Just picked up a '95 w/ 85k on it. Pulled the front cover to do the KDP and it was out at least 1/8".

It's now fully restored to it's factory location and tabbed in for good!

The job wasn't too bad, but I didn't have to rely on the truck, so I could take my time and stretch it out to two days with no worries.

KDP,,,,,,,, KIT

Does that KIT have BOTH the gasket and the crank seal??

Also the 10mm bolt that (subposed to) come with it,,, how long is that bolt??

How long is the STOCK BOLT??

The TST kdp kit comes with a new crank seal kit, two tubes of loc-tite, and a tube of gasket cement. Directions have the part number for a paper gasket from Cummings, but the tube of gasket cement works quite well. Sorry, but I did not measure the old or new bolt. Might be able to find the bolt in my junk box. New bolt about 3/16 longer than the original. The pin washer is about 1/8 in thick. The directions suggest removing and loc-tite all the bolts holding the acc case. Found several on my truck that were a bit loose. I think this is a better way than a bolt screwed into the sheet metal cover of the accessory case. IMO, There is just not enough metal there to really hold a bolt. A bit of work this way, but really worth the security. Thanks :D
