For those who dont know, Keating Shelly evened the score Saturday beating Comp in Commerce. Earlier in the day, Comp rev-gained his way to a new record of 8. 62, but wasn't able to put it together again while racing Keating. For those who werent there, yall missed a helluva show.

Congrats!

Funny how last time it was the other way around.

Show me the video of Comp actually running a race, or a video of bigfoot having tea with Jimmy Hoffa. Whichever is available first.

I have seen it in person twice this year, but I could just be a conspirator :-laf

I'm not saying it didn't happen. I just find it amazing with all the hype and money involved in this that nobody ever brings a camera.

I've seen that video that's posted above and IMO there was better video taken on the moon in 1969! :D

Congrats KEATING!!!! ... ... . Has any one seen Chump461 post? he must be hard at work to find some more rev and more gain. It is good to see some VERY good compitition between these two.

COMP is done, his VASTTTT racing exprience failed him on the line, Keating unerved him, and he redlighted. Old gasser trash racers never die, they just redlight and go home. I feel bad for him.

Greg hasn't been posting lately because he's been in IL for the Hot Rod Magazine "Drag Week" campaigning an 03 Cummins.

At the dyno competion yesterday they did 7XX(don't remember exactly) on diesel only and 863HP and 1600+tq on a single turbo with a single shot of spray.

I haven't heard the times from the track yet.

Sorry for the detour guys. Back to the topic.

Congrats To Keating on the win and Greg for the new record.

740 or 750 area on #2 and the 863 was on a little 150 gasser shot. Looks like the last minute throw it together combo worked quite well for all of them. Can't wait to see all the data from this deal, great idea and the first Diesel entry.

It's a blurry still photo (it was getting quite dark by then), but does show Keating with the early lead in that match-up:

Comp was unable to run him down.

While all this pokin' and proddin' is entertainin', we do need to remember that Pro Diesel is still in its infancy. On the prior solo exhibition run, the Dr. P truck had a wastegate stuck open, preventing boost from building. Keating's truck has a huge profile that has to be pushed through the air; a 5x6 sheet of plywood can only be shoved broadside through the air so fast. And we all know that Scheid's sled-pulling-technology dragster is defying all logic and science by going as fast as it does. :D :D At least Gary Scelzi affirmed that it is torque that accelerates a vehicle down the track.

So. The record stands at 1-1. Will we see 2006's best-of-three concluded at Houston? Or will it forever stand as an indecisive tie?

yeah comp did mess up. . but did he really "launch". looked like he didn't have his foot on the brake hard enough while building a bit of boost.

Either that or he was hoping for an extra foot to really deep stage it :)
