Off Roading carli suspension 3.5" kit

I scored some "rev-gain" at a swap meet this morning (its the "good stuff"), but I found out I got too much, pm if interested, I will sell it cheap... ..... :-laf

Try our new improved Rev-Gain, high energy drink, its stripped and lightened so it won't hold you back, yet bold enough to smoke your converter and trip the red light!!

You can recognize the new can by the redlight labeling... .

When did this thread get promoted to the banter forum? :-laf

Can't wait til next season when (hopefully) Keating will have a 900 pound lighter truck to line up against another Dakota (or maybe an S10 if the rumor mill is correct)... . and not the Dakota that someone in Atlanta was in pits asking questions about us to... . we have allready lined up against him. Oo.

The stack of trick parts for the real engine is piling up as I write... . next to all those used junkyard, errr... backup parts.

Lewis, are y'all saying that y'all aren't going to be using stock headbolts, stock turbos, stock pistons, etc. , any more? Are you sayin' yer Chevy has too much cross-section to compete? Are you sayin' that Greg "Trained Monkey" Hogue can't build a competitive racer? Them's fightin' words in some parts; that's akin to sayin' the Alamo had a secret back door! Y'all keep this up, y'all might find some *real* competition comin' out of Texas!

Any competition is welcome. Keating cut an 035 light on a 5 pro tree at Atlanta... we might just make a drag racer out of him yet :-laf .

Not sure if the stock head bolts will make it into the new motor... . lots of other new parts will tho. Its what Keating has been testing for the last few years.

It will be interesting to see what Greg, Gale and everyone else come up with next season. I'm sure they will be competitive, but everyone (including Keating) is taking it to the next level. What made you successful today, won't tomorrow.

And yes, the Alamo had a secret backdoor. I bought the key on ebay. :-laf

Lewis:

I know you and Keating will bring out one heck of a "killer truck" next year! ;)

As good as you guys run right now, I can't wait to see the new truck with a few hundred pounds shaved off!!

When you mention "Gale" do you mean Gale Banks???? If so that will be VERY interesting to see! Old Gale Banks,... ... . he is "a legend in is own mind!" BTW,... ... ... has anyone heard if has run that Duramax Road Racing Truck he built?? I would like to see him try it against that V-10 Audi Diesel Powered Shell" Race Car that has been winning every race they enter! Naw,... ... I guess that's not fair... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... . :-laf

COMP 461:

Greg, after our long talk at Atlanta I thought some of what I said got through to you, but maybe not! :-laf FWIW,... ... . like the other members have said, if you are "back to the gassers" yeah, I agree, probably no smoke. But if you are going to be in a diesel truck (possibly your new one?) there is going to be smoke. Here is a news flash for you Greg;... ... ... ... ... ... your "Dr. Performance/Predator Truck" was pouring smoke out during your runs @ Atlanta!

I have the dyno runs for the Project X Truck at work. I can post them Thursday. This kind of build up is now easy to repeat. And no they don't have to smoke to perform. Thanks, Brady

Sounds like my idea of cleaning up the smoke I have before I just go up to the bigger injectors.

Brady, I'll E-mail you the last dyno sheet when I get home tomorrow, I can scan it now!

Generally, yes. But fill up with GTL #2, which is available at the pump in a few places in this country (CA), and you might find that smoke is rather more difficult to generate.

Care to elaborate as to why? And does this #2 still maintain the lubricity properties that we need for proper internal pump lubrication?
