i'm still livivg.

I'm a older man I have a concealed weapon permit and keep a gun with me when I can.

I learned that trick from talking to the trucker on cb radio the trucker like them and they go all over the country with no hassel from the police.

a lady trucker in west palm beach florida shot a black guy in the face that broke in her truck while she was sleeping the cops thought that was funny

he won't try that trick again. a face full of flair and she was on her way with no problem from the police they told her good job

we need more people like that in the world

:{ I had an unfortunate experience with my flare gun in Baja. Some young guys had their"music"cranked up to thunderous volume levels well into the night thus obliterating the peacefullness of the site. After ignoring my polite plea to turn it down I decided to send a Scud(flare) into their camp. Unfortunately when closing the barrel down into firing position the shell went off entering my driver's side vent and started a fire behind the dash! After some quick think by my wife we put it out with a camping shower we rigged up using a garden sprayer. After that the flare gun never got close to my truck. We did,however,successfully launch the Scud with predictable results. Sound problem cured!

What kind of world do you live in that you need to be blasting people in the face with a flare gun? Is it really that dangerous out there? How many of you guys have shot other people? Don't get me wrong, I would feed anyone a lead pill if it meant any harm to my wife or children, but the chances of that situation arising where I am from are about 1 in 30,000,000! So I take that calculated risk and do not carry guns, baseball bats, knives, taser guns, etc for personal protection. I am by no means a peace activist and I own lots of rifles for hunting moose, deer, elk, bears etc.

Is it just the media that gets you guys all worked up packin heat for personal protection, or are there confrontations all the time or whacko's trying to "get" you? I am just a plain old Canadian and not once in my 32 years of life have ever been scared of being attacked for any reason. I would move somewhere else if I was always living like I was prey on the food chain. But what do I know... ... . I am just a Donkey!

Swamp Donkey, I'm not scared that I feel I have to carry. I like to carry incase I do need it. I carry survival gear in my airplane, I may never need it but I'd like to have it if I do. But each to their own.

most of these punks don't respect the police the judge or jail it's a joke but they do respect PAIN

and if they thank you can put some pain on then they will move on down the line

In some cases this may be the case.

The base "cops" told my wife that when they detained her at the local BX once.

Some moron thought she had stolen something; apparently it's pretty easy to just slip a size 16 dress into into your shorts and no one will notice

They never told her why she was detained, they never apologized for the near body cavity search they did, they never once admitted their foolishness.

I can't tell you how peeved I was, and how even more POd/distressed my wife was.


I have a distaste for base (SP/MP/LE) cops that you can never overstate. Hearing this asinine statement from the cop commander in regards to detaining my unarmed and unthreatening wife made me want to punch her out. For crying out loud, you mean that because you'd "rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6", that there's no room for COMMON SENSE and not being an utter butthole to a perfectly innocent and unthreatening person?

I'd imagine this 6/12 phrase is used by the TSA knuckleheads as they inspect Aunt Bea's panties for explosives and let Achmed Bin Smokincrak through without a second glance.

Sorry for the rant-- but that phrase is too often used as a crutch to justify stupidity, and it is a sore spot with me.
