UPDATE......

I talked with Scott's wife at length last nite and he has come thru the surgery just fine. If all looks well to the doctor today,he will be released to home after lunchtime sometime. He has at least 30 days of a neck support collar and no rides in automobiles for at least the first two weeks pending on how he heals. He told his wife the pain is relieved and the feeling was coming back to his left side. He also wanted FOOD for which the nurses told him, maybe,if his stomach could handle it(Now I know he's feeling well,LOL). I'll be going over tommorrow morning sometime early and will give you one last update. I'll not drive his truck yet as I am not sure he could handle the stress yet... . LOL... ... ... Andy

Glad evertyhing went well!!! Take care of yourself Scott ... . you'll be back in business in no time ... . we are keeping you in our prayers!

Surgery

Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words. i survived the surgery and feel MUCH better!! got a good bit of recovery to do yet. neck is just starting to hurt from being opend up but the main thing is the pain in my left arm, shoulder , hand is all but gone!! now if i can just get some sleep:( :( no matter how i lay the collar is in the way. oh well only a month of it and i think i can live w/ that.

Doc said the rupture was HUGE, ( we named it Gene, cause it was SUCH a pain... LOL) will have another report soon as its hard to look at the keyboard right now. I just wanna say thanks for all the offers to take "care " of my truck  :p Hammer gets that job as he's been a Huge help to me and Joy.

More info to come, Scott

congrats Scott... ... . i didn't post but you were in my prayers. remember to do ALL that the docs tell you. ESPECIALLY about cars, trucks , and air bags.

Did the same operation 15 years ago, main thing is GO SLOW. I tried to but went back to work too early, but I healed up ok. I would be lying to you if I said you will be good as new when healed up, but do as the Doc says and you'll be OK.

prayers for a speedy recovery going out to ya.....
