2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission keyless entry not working

Replaced batteries in remote thinking they were dead and it still doesn't work. Could the remote be bad or need to be reprogrammed or could the receiver be bad???

This might sound stupid, but you did try the other remote didn't you?

after changing the battery, you'll need to reprogram it. I did anyway. I can't remember the steps, but call a local dealer, they can step you through it on the phone. Hope it helps

Don't have the other remote,but I'm going to call the dealer and see if they can walk me thru it. Thanks

The procedure for reprogramming the RKE should be in your owners manual.

I'll have to take a look in it, but I don't remember seeing it.
