Happy belated Birthday BIG guy!!

Thanks but this one (60) was a tough one for me. I didn't expect to make it this long, when I got married I was like 23 or 24 and when I got to 30 I thought WOW I MADE IT!!!! it was a blink of an eye to 40 with all that had and was going on with family in and out of the house going to school our own children's programs. Then the big 50 was like bring out the walker, I have fallen and cant get up key fob around my neck was a reality that I was thinking was going to happen. 60 was a devastating thought, my in-laws felt that I was missing something in my life and they have gone to great expense in the last year or so to see that Im right in the head with some things that have always bothered me but weren't something that I couldn't work around. They brought out my Sister and family my Brother and his crew and we have kind of buried the problems with why we were apart for 40 plus years. They brought out old Military Pards, THAT HAS HELPED ME A BUNCH!! to put to rest some demons, the last time I had seen them I left the party in an abrupt hurry. Greg Harman has been a Pard like NO OTHER and to tell you the truth im kind of afraid of him, he and his belief in the Lord have had a great deal to do to make things happen for our tribe my FIL was diagnosed with a tumor on his pancreas he did the chemo and some Indian herbal things BUT NOTHING HELPED, Then Greg said that he would pray for his recovery. FIL has been free of any problems for quite some time now. That is someone that carries some pretty big power in the baseball bat that HE CARRIES AROUND. But still 60 what was I to do?? I got a little depressed that some of the things I thought I would do never did or would happen. Penny felt this and made it her personal job to get me out of this rut she and Jim got me to MAKE A LITTLE MONEY IN VEGAS SINGING :-laf We have a Grandson for some unknown reason the little guy cant stand to be with anyone else but me when im around. And now the girl said I don't look 60 made me feel like MAYBE 70 has a chance, I told Penny that if it does have a chance maybe I should take a look at some of these new fangled machines that make life a little easier on a guy and slow down a tad, She looked at me and said YA THINK!!!!

I took pretty good care of myself Mike, its just that I PLAY AS HARD AS I CAN!!!!

The 20 hour work DAYS and the 120 hour work weeks when on those disaster help jobs DIDNT HELP MUCH I GUESS.

Yes Gary I did, One thing I could always count on you for was making me think, your last post on this subject has made me hurt myself (thinking is hard sometimes) About how I should shine Penny's boots. That there is no doubt of my friend, I just don't have a return for that RIGHT NOW it will come to me so hang on just a bit. Most days that I go out at 3am to do the chores she's up when I come back in, but the days she's not and laying in bed I grab my string box and give her a tune. Today was just such one of those days and this is the song I gave to her, after the song she said come back to bed I told her that I had been outside she said that she is going to change the sheets today so come and we can talk. DONT HAVE TO TELL YA NOT MUCH WAS SAID, Except that things get better with AGE Don't have to tell ya how THAT MAKES AN OLD MAN FEEL Oo.

Gail has gone for awhile to work on getting my Fathers bus ready for us to take on Vacation to Yellowstone changing tires on that should take him awhile. He lets on like he's the one that cant do without me, truly its the other way around. The first time I seen him as he pulled into the sales yard where I worked and got out of his truck, one of the other girls in the office said Penny you need to take a look at this! Ya Ya I know he's the best thing out there. Darned if I wasn't right! with his Robert Mitchum good looks and confidence he came to the office. As our eyes met we were one, or at least I was.



He is very open with his life and don't mind telling of his downfalls with drugs and memories of past experiences, Especially with young people I think he tries to keep them from making the same mistakes that he had made. He is actually a very gentle man, but I KNOW from the past you DONT want to get on his WRONG SIDE it takes a lot to do and he laughs at most things thinking that they have no clue or have never been in such a predicament.



Our calendar is pretty full but if any of you want to come up let us know our door is rarely locked and always open to visitors.

From what I/we can glean from this forum, I think we have gotten to know part of the persona that BIG has shared with us, but I think he got the better 1/2 of the deal when you stepped into his zone.

A few years ago I wan't too far from your road apple ZIP code when I visited my Uncle in Polson, but thats not in the immediate travel plans right now. Big Sky Country, says it all.

Tell him you boots are dirty please, OK?

Big isn't going anyplace without me keeping an eye on him. He is a handful at times what man isn't LOL. My Mother and Father adore him, Father didn't always but Mother said from day one that if you let this one get away from you Daughter YOU NEED SOME HELP. She and Big are a pair when they are together they laugh all the time. She and Big just love our Grandson they have his life all mapped out, He will without question be the best that THEY can make him.



Big has a temper when it comes to tires on things, but its not his bus so he will take his time to fix it correctly. When my Father said to take it Big said No Way! I cant take that risk. Father told I trust you with YOUR bus. It didn't register on Big for awhile, when it did Father said when im gone its yours your the only one that can drive it and take care of it.



About my boots Big takes care of me very well. He has always treated women with the respect that some don't deserve but he does it anyway. Its hard for some to have him open the door and take you by the hand to help you out of a car, its the way he was brought up his Mother was a Fine Southern Lady, she taught her Son manners, you should see the looks he gets when a lady gets up from the table and he stands until she returns and helps her with her chair. The other lady's slap their guys and say you don't do that!!

I would love a chance to meet up with you all someday... I didn't know about the ankle- I hope it's healing well. It's awesome that you're able and willing to do nice things for your gang like that- been following along on the other thread.

D4L I have never gave up just amazed that I made 60, ive have been jump started twice once when my leg was non surgically removed on a hospital ship, and the other time I had a mule lean on me and my sternum was crushed that surgery took 17 hours when I woke up the wife and the Doc were asking what were thinking we had to defib you to get your hart beating. I told them I was just taking a break I was a little tuckered. So when its time its time its not such a bad deal to take leave its just I didn't think it would take this long.

Wayne we hope so to, we would like to meet a lot of you folks, her ankle is more than fine she puts a boot in my butt to help her all the time. Helping is what I do, I don't have any REAL things that I can do to perfection except drive a truck (big deal) but I can do a lot that most can seem to so I guess it works out. Wood working has always been a thing that is fun (when I want to do it) and im not so bad at that I have re-built the daughters house and it hasn't fell down on her yet and she like it so DAD'S AN OK GUY cause the price was right FREE!!!
