KN-RE0880 prefilters?

I have decided to go for a KN-RE0880 and need to find out about the prefilters. I know there is a foam one and I have the part # for it, but I know I read a post the other day about a silk cover for the 0880 that was used to keep water out of the filter. Does anyone else remember seeing that post or have the part # for it?

JR2 there are two types of pre filters you can use with the RE-0880, one is a foam type part #25-0880 and the other is a polyester material #22-8035pk. I am going to try to locate the 22-8035pk tomorrow.

BPINE and JR2, the suffix to the part number denotes color. there are at least four different colors available. One thing to consider though, this particular prefilter is stated in the K&N catalog to reduce flow by no more than 10% whereas, the RE-0880 foam prefilter has a 2% restriction... something to consider.

On the flip side, the owner of the local 4WD shop (also owner of the *****in bright yellow jeep in last years Four Wheeler Top Truck Challenge... one of the top ten) told me the silk type prefilter is the hot tip for elimination of the most minute particles. I was told these are especially popular with guys who like to play in the sand.

Guys, thanks for your help, I got the same part # (#22-8035pk) for the silk/polyester prefilter from a non-tdr memeber who emailed me. If the prfix of the part # is for color, what is the part # for a black cover? That is the color I really want.
As for loosing 10% of your flow through the filter, who cares it still flows way more than the stock filter ever did.
I only plan on running it when it is real dusty (spring in Anchorage is dusty) and then go to the regular prefilter. If anyone has the time, maybe list all the different colors this thing comes in.

Well I ordered that RE-0880 and the regular prefilter from summitt today, they did not have the polyester/silk prefilter. Carparts.com had the part #, but it was listed as a filtercharger and was just over $50. I was not sure it was the correct item so I did not order it. Any one actually laid hands on one of these yet?
