I recently purchased a Kore 2' lift kit. Has anyone installed one. Very difficult? What special tools did you need. Any info would help.

Thanks, Bill

I didn't do a Kore level but, I had to disconnect the track bar to lower the diff enough to stuff everything back in on one side (I think it was the passenger side). I did all the work in my driveway. Getting the track bar lined back up was kind of an issue with everything disconnected and setting on jacks. I was surprised at how much heavier these components are compared to my Rangers. You don't just give them a shove and expect them to line up. I had to ratchet strap the diff to pull it into place.

Did a Kore on my 05 Dually about three years ago. Don't recall anything special except some patience. The shock towers are a little fidgety to get off and on.

You'll like the new look.

It's not too difficult but will take some time and patience, you shouldn't need anything beyond the normal selection of hand tools. You may need someone to put weight on the axle as you try to stuff the coils in, and yes the track bar must be disconnected. Hooking up the track bar is not difficult at all, no ratcheting required, do it last after everything else is done. Put the wheels back on and with the truck on the ground have someone turn the steering wheel. This will allow you to align the track bar with the mount using the steering as a mechanical advantage, no effort required.

Thanks for the info guys. Believe I'll try it tomorrow AM. Took a look at the brake lines and they look to have plenty of excess for the kit.

Completed the install yesterday. Total 7 hrs. Used your advice, 04blackcherry, and used a come along to pull the axle over about 1" to line up the bolt hole.

The only frustration I had was the stabilizer bar. Got the drivers side started. Put the bolts in a couple of rounds in by finger on the passenger side and then tightened them with a wrench about 2 rounds and that was all they would go. Had to use several washers between the bolts and flange to make it tight. ???

Off to have the alignment checked.

Joe - This was only the front leveling kit. 2 springs, 2 shocks, and the stabilizer spacer. Easy install - 40 steps. Truck rides much better, especially when hitting dips in the pavement or at the ranch.

Had alignment checked - toe in & out off a little. Had been off before install.
