Hey Lightman,

That truck looks sweeeeeeeet!!!

Is it an illusion or do the Weld wheels look deeper on the Kore website?

The picture on the website is of a deeper dish rim. Actually the thumbnail on the website is the actual rim, but once you click in the picture on their site is of a deeper dish.

Thanks much for the compliments guys!

Are you guys with the Kore leveling/ or Pace system and the 35" tires happy with the way your truck drives. I have had mine aligned and the tires are smooth, but the truck wants to pull back and forth on the roads. It will pull to the right badly, then I will hit a bump and it will momentarily track straight before wanting to run off the right side of the road again. If I am on a bumpy two lane road, I really have to be on my toes and paying attention just to keep the truck in its lane. Do you guys think I have a problem, or is this normal? I have contemplated going back to stock, but I have too much money in this setup, and I love the look.

I have the Kore Pace system with the Weld wheels and Toyo MTs too and don't have any of the pulling problems that you are experiencing. I did mine in two phases. First the suspension then the wheels and tires. I did feel that it took getting used to again like it was a totally different truck after the tire and wheel upgrade. It almost feels like you have to learn to drive it again, but I love it.

After a road trip to Vegas and Death Valley (about 1000 miles) my Kore (Bilstein) steering dampener came and I installed that and feel it helps keep the truck going where you point it. A little more stable in the lane. It is gas charged however and wants to go to full extension. At highway speeds when I let go of the wheel my truck now starts drifting slowly to the left.

It sounds like you might have an alignment problem or excessive wear in one of the steering joints or bushings. You might want to have the shop recheck it or try another shop.

Sounds like you need more caster. Stock alignment specs aren't good enough especially if you alter suspension. I would get under there and lengthen the lower arms a bit by turning the adjusters. Make sure you mark the original setting before tweeking but don't be afraid to tweek it.

Cool,

It also sounds like a caster problem to me. Caster is what makes the truck return to center after a corner. Increasing positive caster is a good call. If it is off, the truck will feel loose going down the road. Also have the front end guy give you 1/16th of toe in overall. That will also help with the wander.

Thanks, I will give that a try. I do know that the guy who did the alignment mentioned that he did adjust the caster. I hope he didn't just adjust it well enough and there is a possibilty it can be improved.

:-laf "man" that's got to be the most ugly truck and wheels I have ever seen. I can't wait to get a set of those wheel's on my truck. You know the one with your suspension that I just bought.

try this one, and look in my Reader's Rigs under DRC Stuff, more pics there. They do fit up nice, and are very smooth, so not too much work to get them painted.
