Turn on the phone, hit redial, get busy singal and turn it off,... ... ... ... ... ... ... immediately repeat until Greg answers!!!!! Took me awhile this morning, but I got through :D

Amazingly enough - Greg found/made the time today to call me regarding a customer service issue - I'm sure he's super busy today as it sounds. .

MNeilsen - I will definitely post pics when it's all in, done, and shined up!

I got my Chase/Bilstein shocks back today from my local body shop. I had the shop professionally clear coat them for corrosion protection. They look great, I was worried the scuffing they did to help adhesion would make them look bad/scratched up. No worries, they look almost no different. Certainly better than if covered in rust :)

Got thru at about 2:30 CST. Chase is on the way! Now for wheels, tires, F. A. S. S. , Edge, bhaf, injectors... whew! I'd better pick the right 6 numbers this Wednesday!

I also accidently splurged and got the DRC race kit on the way. :D If I'm calculating correctly, my phone allows me to do the redial cycle 19 times every minute. It took me 2 hours and 5 minutes to finally get through to Greg. So, I had to redial about 2,375 times -- give or take a few.

Group Purchace Is OVER!!!

Thank you for your overwhelming support! DRC has sold all systems that were offered in the Group Purchace. The phones started to ring at 4:30 AM Pacific time. We started to answer them at 10 sharp. By 3 pm all systems were sold. The member base was on hold all day, but very understanding. I apprieciate you time and will offer a TDR member discount to all members. Just ask for it and I will give it. Thank you again for your overwhelming support

I lucked out and got through right about 1020 am PST. Not sure where that put me on the list of DRC race systems purchased but I am glad I made the list!

Thanks Greg! (Now get the BHAF kit going so I can get one of those too!) :-laf

I Just Can't Wait

Hats off to Greg I got thru at 10:00 sharp, unfortunately for me there were some issues with my credit card (gave him the wrong one - as I have a low limit card for my kids when they travel). Took me over 2 !/2 hours to get back to him, but I made it for the DRC Race. I'll post pictures when it is installed and for the install process as well. Now I just need to figure out which front bumper to go with since my accident. YAHOOOOOOO!

Greg, how many units are going out the door? Wish I could have got set up, but transmission first! Suspension worthless if transmission no go!

Clear Coating Parts

Hey,

On the DRC race kit, which parts need to be clearcoated to protect them from rust? From the picture, I'm assuming the front shocks and reservoirs, and the body of the new steering stabalizer. Everything else seems to already be aluminum or protected in another way.

Is correct or have I missed something? Thanks!! Oo.

David

I dont think you'll need to do anything with the steering damper, the Fox parts have a different coating.

Jared

on edit

oops, I thought DRC was using Fox dampers but I see now its a bilstein, it probably does need the same treatment as the shocks.

The shock bodies are aluminum also, only thing clear coating will do is protect from corrosion, which I will be doing living in salt country!

You're correct. I had the shock bodies and reservoirs done. This should give them some good protection I'm hoping, we will see. I didn't get the steering stabilizer yet, I figured the Chase, Welds, and Toyos was enough toys for a little while :-laf

Hey Greg,

I just ordered the wheels, 35's, and a leveling kit from KORE a couple of weeks ago. Will the Toyo 35's on the Welds fit w/out a leveling kit?? Just wondering before I put it all on. .

Now you need a turbo and a transmission Lightman!

My checkbook already dislikes you Greg, don't push it! :-laf ;)

I know , it's terrible - I've already contacted some DTT builders/installers. The thought of dropping $12-15k of aftermarket parts in an 04 truck this soon is kinda mindboggling though... (including the $6k I just spent on suspension/rims/tires). Arggh, you guys weren't lying when you told me once I started with the mods I wouldn't be able to stop/control myself!! :D

I just think of it like it is my dirtbike, jetski, snowboard, vacation, and anything else that comes up! In the end, it is all worth it. I am going to pick up the DRC fiberglass fenders now. Tell me we aren't insane?

The King and Bilstien shock bodies are not aluminum, they are steel, I don't know for sure on the Fox but I think they are also steel.
