Processing of shipments begin today. It has been a wild week out here. I will email as your product is released. Each system has to be custom built for each truck and takes a little while. I will be full speed ahead for the next week. Thanks again!!

Enjoy,

Greg

ALL!!!

I talked to Greg today and he said to let everyone know that everything is shipping out today, tomorrow, and at the very latest Wednesday. So start to watch for the brown van to come knocking on your door.

I cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aren't we looking for a big, bad, red Dodge truck?!

I was under the impression that Greg was personally installing the systems purchased during his group buy extravaganza! We made up the guest bedroom and everything. :-laf

Put me in the "can't wait" category as well... though I am not sure the UPS guy is going to be so thrilled having to lug that full suspension kit to my door. There are going to be sore backs across America when these things go out for delivery!

Was that including my chase ??

Greg, was that including my Chase system? Oo. Can't wait to have that setup in my truck. Thanks.

Unsatisfied & Not Too Shy To Admit It

I must admit, I was less than impressed with the whole way that group buy went down. It was a real cheesy way to offer a group buy & to be honest, it made me completely lose interest in acquiring a Kore suspension package for my truck. I know several other guys that feel the same but just don't want to be seen as a sore loser by posting their opinion on the matter here on the TDR forum. :{ :{

I personally spent many hours reading every post regarding this group buy. Every morning I logged back on looking for a post telling us how to take advantage of the group purchase & day after day it just kept going on & on & delay after delay. Then... to spend 6 hours dialing the same number over & over only to continually get a busy signal & basically waste an entire day just trying to participate in the "Group Buy".

It made me appreciate the "Group Buys" that have been organized in the past on this forum that have included all the TDR members & not just a few.

I for one was very disappointed & to be honest, have lost interest in the Kore suspension which is sad because I know it's an excellent product that many hours of engineering & design have gone into.

Time to put a few hours into the marketing department now I suggest.

My opinion is that if you're organizing a group buy, make it available to everyone or don't waste our time... that's not what we pay to be members of this forum for.

To the people at Kore... I applaud your efforts & keep up the good work... I'm disappointed I won't be going with one of your set-ups. :( :(

Consider making some changes with respect to how your wonderful products are marketed & sold is my advice.

I am sorry,

I know some of you missed out. We could only offer a limited number of systems for the group purchace. I do offer a tdr member discount, to ease the pain of missing out on the GP. I was at the KORE corporate HQ yesterday and I was informed of an impending price increase due to material and fuel costs skyrocketing. The Chinese infrastructure is buying all of the domestic materials available. In doing so, they are depleteing America's resources and driveing material costs through the roof. Needless to say that it was an accepable increase after spending $90 to fill my truck yesterday. $2. 87 a gallon for d2 was the best price I could find in 300 miles of FWY. I understand this will seem like a blow to some of you. Kore has not raise prices in almost three years. If you want more information feel free to call DRC at any time. We are the TDR reps for KORE! I have gone to bat for you guys on being able to give discounts and will always offer that.

There will never be another group buy. I will not be able to make that availabe but will always offer a TDR Member only discount.

I had a issue with a purchased leveling kit but was handled by Greg. Thanks.

They raised the price of the leveling kit before the group buy and then didn't offer it i don't need to spend an extra 700 bucks for the mini paks because i could get a new set of custom made full set of springs cheaper.

The Fox steering stabilizer is only for the 3rd gens. Sorry to hear of those that missed out on the group purchase. Greg followed the TDR guidelines in respect to GP's, so can't knock him there.

In a way, it really doesn't matter how many systems DRC offered to the GP, there would not have been enough, and someone still probably would have missed out.

DRC is still offering a TDR discount, which is still better than full price.

I am well aware that its solde for 3rd gens but Greg did mention trying a test fit on a 2nd gen. One other memeber has installed it on a 2nd gen with very minor mods.

Marty1,DRC was in a tough position and I think Greg's handling of the group purchase was what he felt was the only way to do it fair.

I have had the KORE/T-Rex suspension for over a year(I paid full bore and 8% fricking Cal. tax). It is the best out there in my opinion. KORE service and support is great also. What other company can you talk to the president and ask questions and when unavailable calls you back?Don't let this one bad experience keep you from owning a KORE suspension.

I'm not saying they didn't follow the guidelines... I'm saying it was cheesy & bad business. I know of 3 guys that aren't buying a Kore package now... me being one of them. I wasn't going to say anything but the thread just keeps going on & on so I felt the true feelings of many should really be known.

No different than if PDR offered a group buy on Twin turbo set-up to the next 10 callers with substantial discounts. No doubt it would be nice for those lucky 10 guys but I don't call it a group buy.

Call it a lottery. It was like pulling the slot machine in Vegas only a little more cheesy. :D

Oh, Don't get me wrong... I think Kore's stuff is excellent & if they go back to retailing then I will buy from them but the whole DRC thing just left a feeling like most of us got burned & will now be punished not only with a much smaller discount but there will actually bbe increases now.

No thanks.

I still say hat's off to Kore & keep up the good work.

This was my favorite part of the group buy, I figured I would wait to comment till it was over, wouldn't want to do anything to upset the sacred group buy of Kore stuff. :-laf :-laf

"Posting of prices or percentages of discounts will get you eliminated from the group purchase so don't do it. If you call before 10 am on Monday I will not sell anything!"

Pretty funny stuff, not too often retail places get to dictate what and when purchases are made, I would predict once the initial wave of people get the suspension they will be selling it at a discount again. It reminds me of when the new beetle and PT cruiser came out, those that had to have them first paid more and waited to get them, there is limited market for suspensions systems, once you meet the need of those that want it, you will end up with parts sitting on the shelf, and bigger discounts. The whole discount thing is bogus anyway, if someone else can sell it for a discount why can't the source? Makes no sense and obviously just makes those that did not get in feel bad. It would be much better to set a price and stick to it, or if you are going to offer a discount offer it for a limited time to anyone who wants in. Without the TDR how many of those systems would be sold?

Yep, 100% agreement. The few extra dollars aren't the part that P's me off... I can afford the few extra $$'s without the discount. It's just the principal & the whole idea of someone getting a better deal because their phone dials faster.

I honestly feel good for the guys that got through but it cost Kore my sale & there are more than just me.

KORE has an outstanding marketing approach if you ask me. They do an excellent job of creating hype and exclusivity surrounding their product, warranted or not. Everyone knows that they are making good money off of their products or they wouldn't be doing it. I don't buy the, "We are not making money at these prices. " approach. They know people will pay whatever because they hold one of, if not the top spot right now in the the Dodge suspension world. I would be hard pressed to believe that their cost is going up at the the rate their product prices seem to be, like they imply. I find the whole DRC/Kore relationship thing a bit funny. Same products, same price. . It's like having a store that has two separate looking entrances, but once again thats smart marketing from a business stand point. I'd say it all comes from the same place. I'm not knocking them in any way, they have a great product and seem to be great people. They are in the business to make money, and more money is always better. I guess it all comes down to that it is what it is and it cost what it cost. You either play by their rules and pay their price or you go somewhere else. It may not always be right, but thats how it is.
