KORE rolled into the Jesse Jones/Scott Steinberger Trophy Truck mid-way pit where Big King Boardman changed out the right front axle in 16 minutes from the time Kroeker arrived into the pit. Boardman is the man!!!!
I was unaware that KORE was even racing, yes I should check back here more often, but I've been a bit swamped.
Anyway, the KORE Chase Crew arrived to the mid-way pit and spotted the Desert Tank in the pits backed up staged in support of Jesse Jones race efforts.
Kroeker pulled away in his race truck a full-speed ahead... conditions on the course were reported as very deep sand washes and rough conditions. Racing with trophy trucks, Class 1, the KORE truck held its own and turned some heads. We left for the main pit after our trophy truck came through on the last lap far ahead of the slower classes.
At 8:00 p. m. we headed down the street in Parker and saw the KORE truck in a local parking lot. All I can say is BUMMER. The KORE truck had some pretty moderate body damage to the roof and right front entire side. Kent met us in the parking lot and gave us the low down. The KORE truck rolled in the Parker Python track in the middle of the very long pit area. All occupants were okay, some moderate damage but nothing that can't be fixed... KORE will be back!
I'm sure he'll detail an official race report here for everyone.
It was good to see the KORE team out in the desert raging on the 140-mile race track, 3 laps of 140 completes the Parker 425. This race has long been revered as "one" of the big desert races and this year was no different. Robby Gordon blew up his RCR motor at racemile 36, the Weyrich's suffered a completely demolished new Class 1 car and were airlifted out to the hospital.
