Looking for advice on hauling hay

Finally found a replacement l. e. d light fixture for the rv.

welcome to jclampstand.com! Will cost you $20 to replace just one bulb in a typical light fixture to replace both will be $40. Why do that when you can do this LED R US - LED WHITE REVERSE & CARGO LIGHTS. ITEM TL-210 is the same size as the non l. e. d fixtures for $45 total.

Thought I would pass this along for those that boondock and want to conserve battery life or for those that want to use l. e. d's.

mberry,

It looks like a direct replacement for the conventional lights. I have a call to get information on them as soon a I know I will post it.

Let me know what you think. So far I havent seen any LED's that work well enough to call them a replacement. They're coming along but not quite there yet. If you're boondocking and need to save power, they may do well enough for you.

I tried using replacement bulbs in my slide-in... they are not quite as bright as incandescents and do not last nearly as long. I have yet to find a quality LED replacement bulb that lasts very long in the stock housing...

I left all my LEDs go with my slide-in because they were almost all partially burnt out or malfunctioning.

I would like to make the change in our current 5vr at some point, but not until they actually make a bulb that lasts.

I bought an LED light for my '03 Road King that is supposed to be built to handle the vibration. Paid $20. Kinda has that light blue hint to it... not rice burner headlight blue. But I bet that might work. Will try my old bulb to see if it is a fit...

Got the new light today. First pic is the back, new light with covers off and the new compared to the old. The switch in the center is a three way, off, one side on or both sides on. They are basically the same size except the led housing is a little shorter. This was not any big deal I started replacing the screws at one end and worked my way to the other. It is not as bright as the non led but the light seems cleaner or more like a fluorescent light if that makes sense. Might not work for everyone but I like it. After the first of the year i am planning on getting a couple more.

I have been using the new light just for that purpose. The light produced is whiter more clean than the incandescent. As far as brightness they are not as bright and one thing I have noticed is that late at night or early morning when I turn it on I do not have to squint for a few seconds like I did before. I have been moving it around from fixture to fixture to see if there are any differences. As far as usuable light the old fixture produced more, as far as glare the new one gets the nod. Another thing I did notice is that with the lens covers off the light is brighter than with them on. Seems the covers knock down some of the light.

They do a great job of lighting the area to which they are installed. Where I have this one currently installed right above the dresser in the bedroom it does a very good job. Under kitchen cabinets for lighting works great as well. For larger areas I think using two would do the trick. After Christmas I am planning on getting a couple more for the bedroom/bathroom area and see how it works.
