largest injectors w/EZ

What is everyones opinions on larger injector lines for a 24 valve truck. Will it make a difference on a mid hp to higher hp truck?

You might try Pm ing (Kaptn) Kirk k he has the bigger lines and he could give you some info. I am also interested to find out more about the possible benefits of the larger lines.

The larger lines can make a big difference. I would suggest a PM to Willslover re: what they found out on the Red Rocket...

Greyghost installed the WildCat kit with bigger lines. It replaces the stock lines and banjos from the lift pump thru to the VP. He said he got better fuel pressure across the board, from idle to WOT and the improvement was larger at WOT.

He also said it felt like the throttle response was slightly quicker as well. He still has a stock lift pump and lines from tank to the pump itself are all stock too.

This solution may work for you.

CORed-- this is not the same.

The kit your are talking about is everything BEFORE the injection pump.

What jrandol is asking about is replacing the hardlines (METAL) that come out of the VP44 and go into the cylinder head with the 19mm nuts. Different animal all together.

I don't think it's possible to make 450+hp without some kind of fuel delivery upgrade already installed.

The hardline upgrade (injector lines) is a pretty high-end mod for those looking for that last bit of power AFTER they have already installed twins/drugs/box/showerheads etc...

Here is kaptn's remarks on the Injector Line upgrades via PM:

I have been playing with larger injector lines and tubes. I had 90 hp injectors and just . 093 lines. The truck ran a consistent 14. 0 1/4 mile. I installed larger injectors with bigger tubes, truck started missing out at normal driving but ran like a raped ape at WOT. I have an automatic which does not like the bigger lines and tubes. I am back to stock lines, big tubes, and big injectors. Truck misses out in park and between 40 - 60 mph normal driving. Runs great at wide open throttle. I plan on going back to stock tubes to see if truck settles down. I hear people with manual transmissions do not have problems. My injection pump has had the delivery valves tuned and it is a HO pump. I believe the way the computer is set up I am not getting enough fuel from the injection pump. I went to the dealer yesterday and had the idle adjusted from 900 to 1500 rpm a thousand at a time to see if it would work. NOPE! hehe I seem to take 3 steps forward and 4 steps back. I wish someone could help in this matter and I have asked on the TDR without much luck. I guess I need to get a 12 valve lol I hope this awnsers you question. Copy and paste this to your thread if you like as I would hate to retype it. Also I hope to install the water/meth system before Feb. 28 th Dyno Day in Indy. Thanks for you work on that. Kirk

Something I forgot. The truck would die when shifting into gear unless the rpms were brought up with the oversize lines. The higher idle adjustment would have probably cured that though.

Check out www.haisleymachine.com they have some listed, A . 084 , . 093, and a . 120 but that one is not recomended for 24 valve trucks, says it will not idle. Call and talk to Van or Patty they should have the answer. Hope this helps, Dean

"My injection pump has had the delivery valves tuned "

Perhaps this guy would like to expand on this statement a little bit... . Especially since it sounds like he's talking about a VP-44 here...

Matt

Be careful when doing this. Adding bigger lines can sometimes immitate a small loss in timing. Since there is a slightly larger volume of space to fill, it will take slightly longer to give you the correct pressure to pop off the injector.
