Competition California truck pulls

Competition Haisley #11's

Trucks getting closer to running everyday,, I had only a block w/pistons earlier today, now I have the motor about ready to drop in tomorow, so it might be as early as Tuesday when I let yall have a impression of how my '55 goes.

Right now, I need to order a transmission yoke, a Water pump seal, and I'm waiting for my injectors.

Here's what my truck will have,,,

PDR Stage 1 ported and O-ringed head

PDR Cam

Head Studs

Mach 4. 8 injectors

Normal COMP

J. R's experimental '55

FASS w/-10 Line and -6 return line to the back of the block.

Probably won't have a fan, I'll be using electric fans

SBC FE

And probably too much Walmart hotrod paint.

The only thing I'm really waiting for is a MAD ECM, and a COMP from Maddog to make my truck "finished". Then I'll need to do alot of other little things since the truck has pretty much been sitting since Thunder in Muncie '03.

WOW its getting DEEP in here, 590hp Single charger and pulls a 25ft trailer with side jobs on it. Get out of here!:) I've heard about that ladder rack truck... ..... very fast

Urban ledge has it that the hod carrier truck is haunted and dominates all competition... well maybe not all competition

You definately got the haunted part right. J, I think we kept the performance parts world busy for a few weeks! lol!! Dominate no. Contend with crazy black missouri trucks, hopefully.

But I stillconsider it a pretty crazy daily driver. Now If I could ever meet that black truck on the road? :)

Rumore has it that white carpeters truck is getting alot more bark to. Does ST LOUIS have room for all these horses?

Basically, what's the biggest charger I'd want to run for pulling when the truck also needs to be a daily driver.

H2e?

I loved my H2E for racing, but streetability was not great; boggy bottom end, and when you're in it, you've got heat. I don't think I'd tow with it...

Just my 2 cents... :)

Anyone watch the pulling videos from TiM '02?

Chris Strickland and Bill/Stefan Kondolay's truck both had H2E's on 'em.

On Chris' truck - the poor thing didn't spool until like the 100' mark... Bill whacked with NOS in a big way... . then it came to life real quick.

IMHO, H2E's are a thing of the past... . there's much better stuff out there now.

Notice the common denominators Matt...

Tight, Tight converters. Last year's TiM, Chris did MUCH better with a twin setup.

But, in Typical Chris Style,, when he's puttin' down a boat load of power,,, he had to hit the button,, the one with a cover over it, labeled "Detonate",, the same one connected to 100HP worth of NOS.

H2E's aren't that bad,,, they are bigger than a '40, bu I do agree with you Matt. 2e's are in the background now, and technmology is leaving them behind, unless technology can make them catch back up.

Not yet,, but I think I will be working on the truck tomorow for about 6 hours. I haven't had time to scratch my own butt.

I have the motor in the chassis. I need to get the transmission, and crossmember bolted up, get the electricals finsished, put the front-end on (bumper, grill etc. ), and add fluids. It should be ready to start then.

I still think it'll be next week untill I can push the clutch in, and bump the starter to start priming it.

I have to install teh FASS too,, I've never done one before,, I've sold a few, but haven't installed one. (-10 Aeroquip line :D )
