Interesting..........

Great Lakes Body Parts...

I appreciate the blue eyed people chiming in. That had me a little nervous. I believe that I can live with a little halo. Looking forward to talking with the doctor next friday.

Thanks for the replies

Eric: I did not mean to make you nervous about the blue eye's. That co-worker I was telling you about is doing fine now. I see him every day with no complaints about the eye surgery. Oo.

Tony:I wasn't that nervous. Just would like to have all the info I can before jumping in with both feet. Thanks to all for the replies.

This is slightly off topic, but related anyway. Ever since I had my eyes done, I've become extra paranoid about protecting my eyes. It used to be, with glasses, I never would bother with safety glasses or goggles while doing something mechanical. I remember one time when I was prying on something with a screwdriver and it slipped and came up and hit the right lens of my glasses and put a nice scratch in it. But nowadays, with no glasses to rely on, I've been wearing safety glasses to do even the most simple mechanical tasks. I feel "naked" without them. Sometimes I'll go b. s. with the vehicle mechanics at work, and I'll find them under a semi on the lift, removing a driveshaft or whatever. They're looking up, hefting an impact wrench, and bits of crud and rusty dirt are falling all around them, and they're not wearing any eye protection. I would NEVER do that nowadays! Anyway, I recommend y'all keep some safety glasses handy when you're out in the garage, running the weed whacker, etc.

Thanks for the advise Andy. I have to wear safety glasses at work. Like you, I too sometimes depend on my glasses (Presc. ) as safety glasses so I'll have to watch that when I'm at home tinkerin around.

Andy,

Funny that you brought that up. I don't go anywhere without my tinted safty shades.

The only thing I notice is I am now sunlight sensitive and wear shades when ever outside, noooooo night halo. :)
