This is my last post I finally had enough trouble and terrible service from the 5 ***** dealer to push me over the edge.
The Engine knock that no dealership could fix.
The constant fuel leak... no dealership could fix.
The perpetual death wobble that no dealership could fix.
The two U joints that were replaced along with the front drive shaft.
The Front and Rear seals that are still leaking after being replaced numerous times.
For a truck made in Mexico I should have known this would be the case but, this is after all my second one.

Got a Tundra made in Texas... hopefully made right.

Thanks to all for the help on getting the various problems fixed. Its been fun! All the best to all and good luck.

He had to cry about something so I guess we got choosen to hear it good luck with the wanna be truck get it {toy}

I love my Stock dodge :)

First time I hear of a Dodge truck built in Mexico having so many problems. Does your VIN # start with a 3? Good luck to you.

I've put a combined 535,000 miles on two Dodge Ram 3500s, both built in Mexico. The '01 had 275hp Bosch RV injectors but was otherwise factory stock. The current '06 remains factory stock. I've replaced a few parts but the worn parts are reasonable for the miles and hard towing.

I guess it is easier to blame Dodge, Cummins, dealers, and a Mexican assembly plant rather than admit to destroying a good truck with a long list of modifications and probably abusive driving.

Each to his own. I hope he learned his lesson and leaves his new Toyota as the manufacturer built it.

Hey, you folks sound disturbed by his complaining? Just say goodbye as we are better off without him. Don't worry, he'll have a 6. 4 stroke in about 6 months and then he'll learn what a real nightmare is all about. ;) Sorry, I just couldn't resist a little fun with someone elses whining!

Did you have these problems before all the mods or after, you have to be clear you made it sound like it was totally stock with all these issues:rolleyes:.

Does it really matter if it was before or after the mods? He's a non-tuner as I like to call them. He'll go and suffer some more in someone elses camp. In todays world you need to be able to walk into a dealership with the problem, the proof and the fix if you want anything done about it. Shame but that's the way it is.

Ordered my 97 in Dec 96 and took del in Jan 97. Truck was from Mexico and never had a problem, except self induced anyway, still is rattle free and running strong. 10 yrs + of trouble free driving. My 08 was also built in Mexico and I am looking forward to 10 yrs from it as well.

37" tires!!! Kinda says 'I want death wobble' to me. Never had the problem but have seen and felt it in other trucks. Even ran for a month with no stabilizer on the steering making 2 trips from San Jose to Carson City on I80, no wobble. Must be because I only have 265's on 8" wheels.

I still believe most of the problems with these trucks is self induced. 8 yrs with a stock 47re and most of my mods, no issues. Serviced regularly and don't race or do pulls. You play you pay is very true. There are exceptions and lemons are out there like in all things made by humans, but I know lots of people that just drive these trucks and don't have problems or ever even look under the hood.

I say "bon voyage"!!!

Guys who modify their trucks and then worm their way into free repairs drive up the cost of my next CTD.

Give the guy a little break. I've got an 05 with a Kore suspension and other than that no engine mods. This truck has only 19,000 miles and isn't driven hard yet has had a serious transmission leak and is on it's 3rd injection pump. Trust me, when your 1,600 miles away from home and your dumping fuel out and the dealers tell you they can't fix it your hoping it'll burn or your looking into a different truck.

My truck has had fewer problems than my American made Honda Accord.

So, I wonder if the Mexican labor in Texas is any better than the Mexican labor in Mexico.

I sure speak highly of those boys and girls building trucks South of the border. They make trucks superior to those in St. Lousy, USA. OOps, I meant St Louis. :D

Thats pretty funny really! Engine knock? Its a diesel right? Fuel leak? not fixable??... right, could the new injectors have a role? Death wobble has already been addressed... 37's??? Lots of us have had u-joints and the front driveshaft done. If you LUBE the front driveshaft, it probably lasts longer:rolleyes: Front and rear seals for what?

The Tundra isn't even a truck is it?:-laf Kids these days:{

LOVE my 04 Cummins Dodge!

60,000 miles on TST running 430 RWHP and still the stock 48RE auto.

Toyota... . bring it here..... lets do a tug of war :-laf:-laf:-laf

When I'm done I'll drag the shrapnel to the local re-psycho facility
