2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Later 4-spoke steering wheel on early 2nd gen - impossible?

That's the impression I get. I did a quick search and inquiries have been made before without any response. I suppose no one has done this and still had the cruise control work due to the fact that the cc is run through the PCM and/or ECM on the '98 y. m. and later vs. an 'old style' standalone (analog?) cc, therefore the later model cc controls on the steering wheel are incompatible with the earlier model cc. It's time for a new steering wheel.



If this is not right and it is possible to do so, please correct me where I am wrong about this, as I am very interested in installing the later model steering wheel on my '94 Ram.
