My 96 12 valve appears to be leaking oil out of the turbo. It is not leaking from the oil supply or return line, but is coming out of the front of the piece that attaches to the intake manifold. The waste gate is covered, and the leak is starting to be enough to puddle in the drip pan in the garage. Sorry I don't know the correct nomenclature. I am not having any smoking issues or loss of power. I have been told that the turbo needs to be replaced.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help and advice

And of course I posted this in the wrong thread and am not smart enough to remove it. Sorry bout that.

Yes it does sound like you will need a new turbo, if the oil starts to leak internally in the intake, your engine may run a way. and cause major engine damage.

remove the intake hose coming from the air cleaner and wiggle the turbo fins/shaft. I am guessing there will be excessive play.
