Where for good Turbo Hoses and clamps

Help me choose a turbo...

I seen this advertised in Geno's catalog an wonder if anyone has purchased an tried it out. It says this option does not require the installation of X-Monitor. Is this just basically a set up of fuel pressure gauge without the gauge an a warning light in it's place. Is there a certain psi you can set for light to come on or is it when it reaches 0 psi. What are it's benefits over a fuel pressure gauge if there are any.

Reading about VP44 failures in 2nd generation trucks showing lift pump failures being the culprit causing the failure to injection pump looks like there could be some sort of warning indicator that the lift pump is failing. A lot of people did'nt realize there lift pump had even stopped working.

I would like to have some sort of fuel pressure monitoring system for my 3G, but really do not want any sort of fuel entering the cab area in case of a failure to the gauge. Really don't know what I want at this time. :-laf

Thanks for any Replys

I have it in my 2000. It is not adjustable, according to BD the LED comes on when pressure drops below 5 PSI. The install on the 24V was very simple. My local cummins diesel hot rodder thought it was a good protection for someone running close to stock set up. Best advantage over guage is price.

Hey Tony, how about the Dakota Digital gauges. They're electronic, so no fuel in the cab. Just one option among several...

Ryan those are some nice looking gauges. I had considered the S. P. A. gauges also, but noticed Geno's did'nt have advertisments listed of the S. P. A. gauges in last two catalogs. Wonder "why" any problems with them . If my truck would have been a six-shooter I would have went with the X-Monitor with the FP instead of the trans model I got.

I'm stuck on mechanical guage and isolator can't go wrong and if your running any mods you wan't to know before you hitting a low number of 5 psi If my trucks drop below ten I'm troubleshooting.

Lp?

I was able to see my LP failing before it crapped out. Only seeing when it's at 4 or 5 :--) might be too late. With a gauge you can see it over all when it starts to flucuate.
