Buy some and let us know how you like them. That is the first complete LED light I've seen for the second gen trucks.

I did some more "shopping" on ebay and found there are a couple other sellers selling LED tail lights for the earlier Rams and some prices are a little less... I'll buy some and post picks/opinion when I get 'em.

Finally they came up with a replacement bulb that really works. I have them and they fully light the reflector. These are the I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER if you don't want to change housings.

I have my housings all frankensteined up from experiments with different led setups. I ended up with these and I drilled and installed super bright blue single leds directly in front of the bulb. I now have led "Blue Dots" They really look slick.

Yo Hoot,

What color did you buy for the brake light? Did you have to modify the flasher?

I bought the red.

I have a third gen. I doesn't have a flasher. It's done by computer. I added resistors to keep the "Bulb Out" light off.

They automatically reconfigure themselves for your truck. Some chip inside the bulb does it.

If you are serious about getting them, you will be able to make them work. You may or may not need to mess with your flasher. These are smarter lights than those older styles.

I tried to PM the Seller of the light asking if it will cause the "lamp out" flash and no responce yet. Im thinking of getting a set

No biggy if they do. I installed resistors... About $6 each.

Got a set of the LED tail lights that RMecum found on ebay installed on Sat. and all I can say is Wow! They look great and have already been asked by another Dodge owner where I got them.

I also picked up the LED 3rd brake light for the top of the cab and will need to get the factory gasket from dodge or make my own to be sure it won't leak. The one that comes on it is a bit small.

I'm curious about the back of the tail light... it doesn't look like it's sealed back there. Is it air tight?

I've been way busy but this week should calm down enough to get on ebay and order up a set...

Thanks for posting on how they look.

The wires out of the lights has the same configuration as a bulb. Plug the wires into the truck wiring and screw the plug into the light. The truck plug has a gasket and keeps out the water

If you get the 3rd LED brake light you may have to mess with the plugs as it seems to be polarity sensitive. If you plug it in and you have no lights just rotate the plug 180* and try again.

Thanks again to RMecum for the product find. I have tried just about all the different LED's bulbs available and these are far better.

just as a note, all led's are polarity sensetive. . some lamp assemblies have a built in bridge rectifier making that not an issue,

led is just as the name says: light emitting diode. . diode only flows one way like a check valve
