:) Well after better than 3 months I have gotten some satisfaction from Chrysler. I just RCVD a check that is in the small four digit realm (no I am not complaining, it is something). It is by no means a big one, as I am still out a considerable sum, but it helps. They seem to be turning over a new leaf and have been very different on the phone. Turns out I never talked to anyone in Detroit in the dozens of calls I made, even when I asked to talk to a supervisor. The fella that called me started off not wanting to help with the promised check, then when I gave him the documented (I kept records of everything I did) story he came around when he figured out I had not put the wrong fuel (non ULS/ gas) or "diesel out of an old 55 gal drum" in my tank. He then started offering help and kept offering more for some receipts I had. I am not done yet as I have written "his" boss yet again but am feeling much better and am starting to believe they want to do the right thing. For the record I still have not gotten any lawyers officially involved, as in my case don't believe they will help anyone. I am still out a considerable sum, not to mention the fact I will never trust this truck fully, but I do feel better.

Also I was to get my injectors and CP3 back as I paid for them, when I tried to pick them up I got the "core" charge for the CP3 pump.

I was not going to shell out 1k for this so they kept it. Why is Chrysler keeping a core when they only use new parts?

Thought you would like to know.

Chrysler wants the cores back because 1) they cross charge Cummins for the Warranty hits so Cummins wants the core back for analysis / recovery; and 2)Cummins remanufacturers them into replacement components used by Chrysler in Warranty repairs.

Champy,

Thanks I felt I was getting the shaft, as they never mentioned a core charge in the 3 months ( I had to call every few weeks to check) it took for them release the parts to me. Feeling even better now!

Glad to hear you got some satisfaction out of them. Sounds like you may end up getting some more!

Good luck!
