Gotta' join in, surprised to discover that I don't have much in the way of pictures with truck hooked to the trailer... ... ...

rrl989,

How come you didn't take that critter up the Auto Road??????:-laf

Took mine up but they measured twice for wheelbase before lettting me go. There are some tight corners and nasty drop-offs up there. Clear day, got to the top and it fogged in. Came down with visibility ending at the bug shield on the hood.....:eek:

Wife will not go up there ever again... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .....

Here is our 39' XLR at Florence, OR for some sand camping. Try airing down 12 tires to get out there, then airing them back up again to go home.

rig shots

Here's a few varying shots from this summer. I don't leave much at home! 80 gal water tank under the deck for bush camping also. 24500# +/- without water under the deck, generator has a command start and is wired through the deck to the hitch for direct plug into the trailer. The bike rack that I had bought, broke and had our five bikes dragging down the highway once, so this summer I built my own. This one won't break, maybe the trailer frame, but not the bike rack. Even the dog has an insulated kennel to ride in.

i cant believe that you make your little girl ride in the box on the back..... LOL shes sitting on the ramp in a pic.

thats one heck of a setup you have there. i guess you made that???

The kids are warned that if they don't behave they will be riding with the dog. It settles them down quick when they think that I would actually do it.

And yea, I built it my self. Every year it gets more added to it. I already have plans for this winter to modify it some more so I can get more on the upper deck. So far it's been a three year project starting as a simple deck with the generator over the cab with a wind deflector in front of it.

New Rig

"Big Blue" 1 ton with 6-speed didn't work well with bad back. The bright side was an excuse (that the wife was ok with) to pick up this new 2010 (model year end closeout) on Saturday.

That is Ambrose Lake State Forest campground. It is located at the ATV trailhead as there are literally hundreds of miles of trails in the area. Hand pumped water, no electric or dump station and pit toilets so you will need a fully self contained rig with generator... . or not. The lake is awesome and it's full of panfish. One dinner appetizer consisted of 15 bluegills. It's only $20 a night and it's on the honor system, very few rangers. One of the most picturesque places I've stayed.
