I had Tuff-Country 2" steel leveling kit and Bilstein shocks (front=BE5-2549 rear=BE5-2550)installed yesterday.
The truck is now level. No change in handling or anything else, but I did have them also do a realignment. With 285's it has a slight lifted look and the tire/fender well visual spacing is much improved, especially in the rear.
The Bilstein ride and handling improvement is the best of any shock I've ever had. I have Edelbrock IAS on my 97 Dakota 4x4 along with a Hellwig sway bar, and while these are two very different trucks, the ride improvement of the Bilsteins over stock on the Ram brought a much bigger smile than the Edelbrocks did over Dakota stock. The Bilstein ride is firm and controlled... whatever that means. It just feels right for me.
