my wife wants to buy a brand new liberty soon. i read in tdr that this year they are coming out with the diesel version of the suv, the engine being italian made. does anyone know the reliability of these engines from europe. i don't want to get one and have quirks that haven't been worked out yet. Oo.

I was told by the local Jeep dealership that Jeep is only going to build 5,000 of these! He said they would be lucky to have one in their dealership! He claimed the engine would not meet the EPA requirements in 2007
