Just Bought A 2000 3500 2wd. It Says On The Radiator Support ,Fuel System Changed By Dealer. Lift Pump Has Been Put In Tank. Does Anybody Know If These Pumps Are Any Better Than The Block Mounted Pumps ???????????? Thanks Bob

Bob, I had an '02 a few years back and had a fuel press problem so I took it to my local dealer. they changed the LP to the in tank without my knowledge. I was not aware of this until a couple of days later. Long story short I had that truck for about 3 more years and it ran with no problems. If you do not have a FP gauge I recommend you get one.

Depending on the install, yes they are a lot more reliable. It snot unusual to see trucks 300-400k with the factory pump still owrking fine. Running the pump in the fuel to keep it cool and pushing instead of pulling is ALWAYS better than the alternative.
