That's exactly what they sound like Quad!! I almost fell out of my chair when I read that!! Durability is another issue, we only run the holley's on our off-road trucks and they see a max of maybe 100-200 hours of operation per year and they only last a couple of years. I wonder if the holley pump would cause a restriction in the fuel flow if it was turned off? I wouldn't know as I've only ever used them continuosly. What I'm thinking is maybe it could be put inline along with the stock lift pump with a pressure switch that would turn on the holley if fuel pressure went below a set limit. That way the pump isn't running continuosly for durabilities sake. Only when running hard at WOT. Thoughts?

<font color=Blue>steve. . i had a buddy that had a 85 Mustang GT... last year for carbs on stangs... he ran a electric pump from the tank to the mechanical pump. only thing it was doing was suppling enuff fuel to the mechnical pump... The electric pump cant over power the factory pump so it it was still supplying the same amount of feul to the carb. Am almost a 100% sure that most electric pumps are not designed for long use. Unless u go for the high dollar units. .
