Even if your best pal owned the dealership... it would be tough to imagine them keeping your warranty intact with such a modification. I have little faith in warranty work on vehicles. I've had too many new trucks where the warranty didn't do me ANY good even when I never touched the truck in any way. This time I did what I thought was best for my truck to keep me out of the service bay in the first place.

I had a brand new 96 Chevy truck that kept burning 2 quarts of oil every 1500 miles in the #1 cyl. The plug would look like a flame burnt hot dog while the others were new looking. Dealership kept repeating it was normal and would pour carbon cleaner in the gas and install a new plug every so often. At 36000 miles they said it was a bad valve seal and I would have to pay for R/R on the cyl head. Thats just one example of where warranty got me. I knew it was bad from the first oil change.

I've also relocated my LP and installed -6AN socketless line and fittings from the tank to the VP44. Just a SWAG, but I think my pressure increase came mostly from moving the pump closer to the fuel source. Also show about 15. 5 at idle and never below 10 at WOT since completing the project. Would go to 6 at WOT before. Still using the stock pump with about 33 K on it now.

I just installed a complete dash 6 (-6AN or 3/8 ) Aeroquip fuel system, AQP line, push on connectors and Aeroquip Weber carb adapters. From Summit Racing.

I have a new Lift pump in the stock location - 14-15 Idle (warm),

cruse at 75mph 13 psi, WOT 10 psi.

I was sucking it down to 6 psi WOT with the new LP and stock banjos and fuel line, cruse was at 10-11 psi.

I have a pusher pump kit but ran out of time and didn't get it installed.

I found that 2 120* Aeroquip hose ends and 3. 5" of hose works great from the LP to the Filter housing. #ad
