Looking good...

Where did you get the trans cooler and how much $? I am looking for one for my Excursion project. What hose did you use for the lines (specs)?

What's the external wastegate doing way over there on the intake plumbing? (is it an exhaust gas return system for emissions... ha ha). No really what are you using it for? a BOV?

I'll have to check the specs on the hose.

That is a TiAL 50mm BOV. I'll get you a shot of it at another angle so you can make it out better.

looks sweet

are you running the fuel lines through the frame?

Yes, the fuel lines run through the frameuntil the front of the frame turns up.

I dont see a 5th wheel hitch in there? Haha... Looks great!

I'm not much of a 5th wheel person. I prefer a gooseneck. Due to its low profile you can't harldy see it in the pics ;) You just need to look harder. :-laf

I'm sure you probably said in another post, but I cant remember. Are you going to run this thing on the bottle? What kind of times are you hoping for? I really want to see what kind of times it lays down. I like this truck Oo.

As far as the exhaust. It is currently dumped just ahead of the transmission crossmember. That will change shortly. Just have to have the time.

The truck is a bottle baby. BIG bottle baby at that.

The no itercooler thing. Nitrous and water/meth are my buddies. Eventually I'll build a liquid to air intercooler. Its just more $$$$ than this 24 yr old has right now.

maybe you should look into those commercials that will allow you to take your trust fund annuity payments and convert them into one LUMP SUM! :-laf:p

Har har har. Not everybody read the thread on Comp D. But, if I'd had a trust fund then believe you me it would be toast by now.

does the BOV actually work? what does it have as a source?

Yes it does work. It uses an electronic gate (like a solenoid) to change between having boost and a spring to hold the BOV shut and atmosphere and spring to hold it. When it switches to atmosphere then if boost is greater than spring pressure PssssHHHHHH. Off it goes.

What kind of turbo is that on there?

Its a custom unit. K31 compressor with a custom turbine wheel and WG exhaust housing.

Dang - that thing looks sweet!

Any ET goals you care to share?

Beers,

Matt

Like to see 10. 0 street legal.
