I know there are tons of posts about this "anti-spin" thing, but I have no complaints at all ... ... ... ... in fact, I think it's way better than the Dana set-up.
I'm a little curious, of the guys doing the most complaining who have owned a truck with a limited slip before? Or a truck at all for that matter. You do have to know how to manipulate it a bit, it is not a posi trac, lincoln locker, detroit locker or spool.
Check this ... ... ... last weekend, I pulled out into the pasture with an equipment trailer loaded with 6-1500# round bales of hay. Idling along in 1st gear hi range, it started to suck down a bit ... ... ... . I grabbed 2nd and it stopped cold!! I reached over and put it in low range and grabbed 4th. Without wringing it out I could see the left rear spinning, but knew I didn't have the gear to clean the tires, and couldn't get it to rock either. So I grabbed 6th low, revved it a bit, dumped the clutch, matted the go pedal and let'er eat!!!! Had all six throwin roosters big time!!!! She finally started to clean the tires and claw her way out, pretty awesome actually. I even had an approving audience who said it looked cool and sounded better Oo.
3rd hi is similar to 6th lo, but I think lo is better on the clutch ... ... maybe not?
Anyway, my point is, you can't ***** foot that thing and expect the results you want! Try to get it to rock working the clutch, use the D-R/brake with an auto, load it with the brakes ... ... ... anything to get the weight moving and shifting, and don't be afraid of the "go" pedal, LOL.
I know some of you are thinking "I bought anti-spin, I shouldn't have to manipulate it, I should be able to just put it in gear and go" ... ... ..... that's not real world and makes you sound like a girl. Spend some time doing a little off roading and you'll see the difference between an "open", "limited" and "locked" differential.
