Well at the track when I power brake a little boost both 315s spin at the same time. Same amount of rubber on both mud flaps and wheel well.

I was in some pretty slick mud and I was spinning just one wheel... . then I remembered reading somewhere that if you power brake, it will engage the posi. So I tried it and it worked... not real easy with the 6spd, but I did it, seems it needs a little resistance.

Ya I found the same thing . One of the guys said to power brake it and get the RPM's to 2000 that did the trick.

Anyone that is whining about the factory L/s unit, can come to my house with a 12 pack of beer and I'll gladly weld up your diff for you. Your rear tires will ALWAYS spin the same speed from then on.

Just don't come back whining about it. I have lockers in everything I own now... and I sure am looking forward to my new truck with a nice, quiet, smooth, L/S unit.

Well :( :( POSI-Traction they ain't, but POS they is!! , I checked in my glove box and is says "anti-spin" differential, I attempted to get my rig movin on a 25 degree slope, one wheel on dry pavement and the other on soft base rock, all it would do is dig itself in a hole on the base rock side, the other wheel didnt even try!, if all the LSD is good for is on dry pavement then who needs it??? It's a total waste of money if it wont work where you need a limited slip, I would advise anyone thinking of buying a new DC to just get the open diff and maybe get a after market locker later.

I know there are tons of posts about this "anti-spin" thing, but I have no complaints at all ... ... ... ... in fact, I think it's way better than the Dana set-up.

I'm a little curious, of the guys doing the most complaining who have owned a truck with a limited slip before? Or a truck at all for that matter. You do have to know how to manipulate it a bit, it is not a posi trac, lincoln locker, detroit locker or spool.

Check this ... ... ... last weekend, I pulled out into the pasture with an equipment trailer loaded with 6-1500# round bales of hay. Idling along in 1st gear hi range, it started to suck down a bit ... ... ... . I grabbed 2nd and it stopped cold!! I reached over and put it in low range and grabbed 4th. Without wringing it out I could see the left rear spinning, but knew I didn't have the gear to clean the tires, and couldn't get it to rock either. So I grabbed 6th low, revved it a bit, dumped the clutch, matted the go pedal and let'er eat!!!! Had all six throwin roosters big time!!!! She finally started to clean the tires and claw her way out, pretty awesome actually. I even had an approving audience who said it looked cool and sounded better Oo.

3rd hi is similar to 6th lo, but I think lo is better on the clutch ... ... maybe not?

Anyway, my point is, you can't ***** foot that thing and expect the results you want! Try to get it to rock working the clutch, use the D-R/brake with an auto, load it with the brakes ... ... ... anything to get the weight moving and shifting, and don't be afraid of the "go" pedal, LOL.

I know some of you are thinking "I bought anti-spin, I shouldn't have to manipulate it, I should be able to just put it in gear and go" ... ... ..... that's not real world and makes you sound like a girl. Spend some time doing a little off roading and you'll see the difference between an "open", "limited" and "locked" differential. :D

Another thing, you guys who keep talking lockers?!?

Get a grip, you'll have wheel hop everytime you leave a stop sign making a sharp right hand turn ... ... ... . or any sharp turn for that matter. You'll wear your rear tires out at least twice as fast as the fronts, and if you opt for the detroit, be prepared for the noise when it un-locks ... ..... yes, they un-lock too.

Go see Tim, give him a 12-pack and get your Lincoln Locker :-laf

Well, after reading the posts, I'm willing to cut DC a little slack, but if the solution is to use the parking brake to force the "anti-spin" to engage, then why didnt the stupidass designers put in a hand brake lever on the 6 sp'ds ??, most of the foreign auto mfgs know that hand brake levers are the most practical, why does Detroit (Mexico) think it knows better?? Oo.
