I had my trans rebuilt about 3 months ago with a goerand v/b and torque converter. Since it started getting warm out my trans will go into limp mode if I drive it for a while. When it's 50 deg. out it takes about an hour of expressway driving. But at 85 deg out yesterday it only took about 20min to do it. It shifts and locks up fine but when you stop it tryes to start in third gear. You can get it to second by manually shifting it. Everything else is fine. I took it to the trans shop and it set the govener pressure code. I had him put a new sensor in to be sure and it didnt help anything. So when I started searching in here about it I came across somthing about a resistor to fool the sensor for when you have an aftermarket v/b. Can some one explain this a little better for me, like what ohm's, where to put it, what it does and where to get one? Any help would be awsome, it's starting to drive me crazy. #@$%!
