Competition The ultimate competition

That was some "rocket" they had there... Does anybody know what exactly the problem was... why he only pulled 406? (He had mid-400's last time, right?)

I overheard some of them talking about the dyno must be reading low, but my numbers were not lower than I expected:confused:

He has a looooooong way to go before he achieves the advertised "1000hp"

He he he, I almost had him beat ;) :D. My 382hp / 889trq was pretty good, but it still wasn't 400!

Pic didn't work. AggieJustin has it below

The Dyno was very consistent with the february results, I picked up 16HP with the addition of a 16cm housing which should be about right

february=389

Today 405

Bob, Merrick ran some crap like 450+ he had everyone scratching there heads, told him next time to bring a lunch:D ..... I like pickin on him but he's cool! His truck looked bad with the smoke rolling out of the stacks;) Whatever he has done it works, said his EGT's were good with the PDR-40 running 65-115 pulling a trailer..... then I thought who pulls a trailer at 115:confused:

777 mech did the same:confused: with 447, that's 120 over last time, better than my 86, guess I need a lunch!

Great time and a bunch of great folks, truck pull count was 38.

One other thing, everyone said Eric (Kat Diesel) drive a little out of control (yea right Mark has him beat) when he is doing a 4WD launch and says watch the smoke, don't! Put your head on the seat... no snap, just G-force... That auto 4WD stuff rocks!

You'll see pics of all the trucks and the COP later, Merrick has them!

Ya some of the numbers seem amiss... ... . the runs were over before you could blink... . I think that has somethin to do with it?

I only have 446 hp ... oh well ;)

Went to the 1/8th mile ... . ran 8. 40 @ 80. xx mph right out of the box..... not too hard of launch. Firdst run at a new track I try not to get wild.

Next run I got on it... . and was spin and moving sidways in 4wd..... still ran 8. 5 i think I launched too hard that time. Sure was fun tho... ... love it when the front end rises.

I'm really liking this new convertor.

I'm relearning this new convertor, but even tho I showed to have "lower" hp... ... . it sure as heck drives better/harder.

Its pretty darn fun with the COMP off..... and just the BD IV's... . its a blast.

So far this 93 race TC is fun.

I'll make another post with my transmission observations in products forum when I get home.

I dont believe the dyno is loading our trucks down hard enough. I was not hitting the boost numbers that I can get on the road with the right conditions.

Last month I dynoed 461/1009 on the same dyno. This time 447/999. The weather was a little different. It was very humid it had just rained. I think I might have lost some numbers with the addition of the Banks High Ram. I had no other changes since last month but the intake horn. I lost 14 HP and 10 TRQ. It was good to see you guys again.

Jim F, sorry I didnt get to talk to you much.

Dyno Day Pics

I gotta remember to take fully charged batteries next time, so the camera can last till the end of the day.

Hey you caught my truck in action - 3rd pic! This was the first time on a dyno - did better than expected. 490HP/928TQ. It was great to meet some guys I had only known by their website personna before. I'll be back next year - and thanks to Speedworks for hosting and the Powerstroke Assoc. for inviting all us poor, underpowered Dodge owners over ;).

I had a lot of fun. Learned a lot of neat "tricks" from various members. It was nice getting to meet a lot of you.

Merrick, you're still smiling aren't you

Mark, your truck ROCKS! I couldn't hardly drive home last night. My truck felt like stock after riding with you! What happened at the intersection when you left? We saw it puffing smoke rings, but couldn't figure out what happened.

Justin, those are some pretty cool pics! Mine is the blue dually:
